This is where I lean with it...

what a silly remark with nothing to back it up.

"top players dont like fo"

oh yeah? based on what? The fact that the FO isn't resigning players with 2 years left on the deal? Or the fact that most contracts are 2-3 year deals essentially? Players don't have to sign those contracts.

I dislike(d) most of the beat writers for Jville. Vito (thank god he retired, unfortunately he still tweets non stop about POTUS and CBS app covers it not knowing he doesn't really cover Jags anymore), Gene, Hays, Ryan O (thank god he went to Denver)... blegh
I miss Mike Kaye.

Ryan O' was a clown. Don't miss him at all neither. I really don't keep up with local sports stuff anymore like I used to. Nobody really grabs my attention anymore.

Ryan O was the one that had words with Clemons right?
Highlight of his career here lol

I believe so. He was a constant [BLEEP] talker. Got under a lot of people's skin while here.

It simple. I don't like diva's who put themselves ahead of the team. Didn't like it from Deon, Terrell Owens, OBJ whomever. I just don't care for it. Then to shoot your mouth off and not back it up (injured or not) and continue to be a diva? Yeah. Rubs me the wrong way. Do I want to run him off the team? No. Just wish he'd tone it down a bit. At least he declined to trash a bunch of opposing QBs prior to the season this year, so maybe he is learning. That's my opinion. That and $5 will get you a nice Starbucks. LOL.

These are grown men being paid to play a child's game.

Seeing them act like children kinda sucks.. but can we really be surprised? they play a kids game.

Tip: Only you look like the "kid/child" when trying to downplay the tremendous achievement of playing in the NFL.

I think furthering humanity is a tremendous achievement.

These morons crash into each other for your entertainment.

Not an achievement whatsoever.

Coughlin is still stuck in his own old, outdated ways and the players probably don't want to deal with him.

That's part of it, the other part is the players have seen this front office whiff on the QB position time and time again. Passing on guys like Watson and Mahomes while sticking with Bortles for way too long, coddling Bortles and giving him an unnecessary/undeserved extension etc. This front office has spent lavishly on free agents under this regime over the years but doesn't want to pony up the necessary cash to extend one of their on in Yan. That's exactly the type of guy you WANT to extend, it sends a really bad message to the team. I don't want to go on a tangent but the Jaguars front office is about as incompetent is it gets

Very well said.
Success has a thousand fathers.  Failure is an orphan.

By which I mean, if (when) we go 11-5 next year, everyone will love the front office.

Important to note that pre-Coughlin , Caldwell did retain ascending players he'd drafted or signed. (Hurns, Linder & Telvin etc)

Since Coughlin arrived, that trend has changed somewhat. The F.A. signings have seen an uptick since he arrived - and the Bortles extension came under Coughlin's watch as well.

However, the Jags did indeed offer Yannick a very lucrative deal and there's still a very good chance the two sides reach an agreement on an extension before camp wraps.

I don't think any of this deems the F.O. incompetent as they'll be able to get some cap relief next year and retain Ramsey. They've just painted themselves into a corner this year a little bit with cap space and what they can offer Ngakoue.
If they somehow fail to lock up Ngakoue and Ramsey  - and Foles doesn't pan out well, maybe then I'll reconsider how competent they are. I doubt we see that.
WELP!

You can definately tell that the season has begun. All of the Arm Chair GMs are putting their personal opinions, supposed situations out here to be heard. Already, one player has been targeted to be bashed. Sorry JR20.

NH3...

I love Jalen.

I'm good with all his talk and backing up Brinks trucks as long as he ballin.

But some people love to judge others and complain about their behavior because it isn't "how they'd act"

:eye roll:

Kaye was the best. And he was really good about responding to tweets and all that.

I still follow him, he chimes in on Jags stuff from time to time still.

Every old Jags beat writer who works for a new team immediately gets unfollowed by me. I don’t need updates on how the Eagles or Chargers are doing.

I loved Kaye though.
He (Kaye) told a story on the radio a few days back about running into Malik Jackson leaving the locker room in Philly. Malik had on a Jumbo Shrimp shirt and Kaye was wearing a Wicked Barley hat. How very Duval

Understandable. I still follow Kaye because he does post some Jags related content from time to time.
Well, the FO moves hopefully will make for a better W~L season this year......or face the "Wrath of Khan". ....just sayin'.
