No. Clearly we should take away the rights of the millions of innocent law-abiding gun owners instead.
Was the shooter an innocent law abiding gun owner before the shooting?

It's those leftists and the MSM ( except Fox) fault!

It's never too soon to start with this [BLEEP], right?

Obviously he showed signs of being unhinged. He had some sort of manifesto that he had written online. People need to start taking these "criminal threats and ideas" more seriously to keep this stuff from happening. They want to point fingers at guns, but guns are only dangerous if they are in the hands of dangerous people. If you have a history of mental illness, violence or making terroristic threats, you don't get to own a gun. Leave the law abiding gun owners alone and go after the maniacs who are giving us a bad name. Besides, if you find some way to take all the guns away in America, evil people will just look online how to make homemade explosives and cause terror that way. We need to address the criminal issue and not the means with which they commit their crimes. If you're crazy enough to want to kill masses of innocent people, you'll find a way to do it, guns or no guns. We just have too many crazy people out in society right now.
Awful news and one which will keep happening in America over and over and over.

edit: mass shooting in Ohio now

Only in America
While someone who does this is in no way stable, his "manifesto" was written with a ton of clarity and frustration that we're seeing throughout the U.S. The media was quick to use race, but his main issue was with the government and the two parties that dominate it. In any case, nobody gave a [BLEEP] about El Paso a week ago when several murders occurred and nobody will give a [BLEEP] a month from now. Bodies weren't even cold and gun grabbers started bellowing their typical call to action. Eventually, something will click and people and politicians will see no matter how many gun laws or grabs you implement, the mental state and non-empathetical chaos they have created are the real issues. Does anybody want to take a crack at the average age of these imbeciles? The youth have damn lost it!
Bad parents not showing enough love is the root cause.

He says that he should not be viewed as the instigator, that "Hispanic invaders" are the instigators.

Dude.

Don't make this something it wasn't. of course he's frustrated with our government, a lot of people are. But everyone has different reasons. this guy was frustrated that the government was continuing to allow Hispanic people to live and raise their children here. He wants to scare them away instead.

Now I don't know what to do with these facts, but I'm certainly not going to dodge them, like you are.
Forget Shark Week.

It's Right-Wingers Gone Wild Week!

Ok, you can go back to ranting about "socialists". And don't forget your obligatory thoughts and prayers.

What the [BLEEP] is wrong with you? Why do you constantly talk in circles to instigate via something that isn't there? It's gone past comical to just sad.

There is alot in his statements to unpack. But let's remember it is from his points of view. A young, mental, immature point of view. Even still, he made points that everyone on this board can agree with when you leave the typical identity politics behind. How mental is it that some folks running for President are blaming the current President and the weak, non-influential NRA (they would have you believe they are almighty)?

Speaking of obligatory...I see you and last whatever alive stopped in to offer nothing. You can go back to lighting incents under your Lemon and Maddow posters.
I see Fox is blaming video games again.

Classic.
It's sad coming home after a couple of days in my "paradise" (35 acres out in the woods) and seeing such events took place.  Sadly there are some that are going to be quick to blame the tool rather than the individuals.  I am a law abiding citizen and actually enjoyed exercising my 2nd Amendment right over the weekend by shooting a couple of my "scary black weapons of war".

Some will blame violent movies and/or video games, and that is probably partially correct.  I personally think that the problem is deeper.  Lack of education and training, social media and the lack of direct human interaction I think are the bigger issues.

Taking guns away or making it more difficult for someone like me to obtain a firearm or ammunition is not the answer.

Factoring the average age of these idiots why can't it be video games? Social media? Cell phones? Don't you think the entirety of possible causes should be researched? How many more times do we blame the tool and add to the thousands of laws already on the books before someone says we need to look outside the box? Time to take the blinders off a see full spectrum. Can't keep bowing to the human nature of simple has got to be the solution.

Or maybe the thing desensitizing these kids to gun violence is all the gun violence? These shootings have become common place which is the scary part.

But sure. Lets go ahead and blame video games.

A significant cause of these problems is an over-prescribed regimen of drugs that eliminate emotion and empathy. Couple that with significant changes to our value system and you get bad actors.
