Quote:The win feels like a loss to the same extent that week one's loss feels like a win. To think otherwise is rank hypocrisy, surely?
Good point.
Quote:There's no reason for fairness to them.  They're going to whine no matter what.  The team could win the division, and make a playoff run and they'll howl and complain that this means Gus won't get fired, Dave won't get fired, Bortles won't see his replacement drafted in 2017, and on and on and on and on.

As disappointing as this team has been in recent years, you'd think people might actually just celebrate and enjoy a win for a change, but some people are just programmed to eternally reside under dark storm clouds.
I, for one, enjoyed the win, even though I realize this team has a way to go.

However, nowhere near as long as it was back in 2013.

Week 1's loss FELT like a win at the time.

As things have played out... it just feels like a loss now.

Same can be true in reverse.  Week 4's Win feels like a loss... but if things play out positively... hindsight will see it feeling like a win.
I'm happy with the win but I'm not elated. I'll be elated if we're 3-3 after 2 very winnable games.

The bears and Tacks are the games we should be winning, if we're 1-5 in 3 weeks time then I'd be expecting coaching changes at that point.
Again, anyone saying this feels like a loss is just a troll. For years we've suffered horrible loss after loss, and I recall a certain amount of fans whining and complaining that if we could just even be competitive they'd be fine. Now it's "well we won, but we still lost lololol".

Now, I'll be darned if I didn't point out I am certainly one of the most cynical around these parts (honestly, who isn't after these past four seasons), and I will post my negative two cents. But I will always take a win on Sunday. It makes my sunday that much better. Never will root for my team to lose.

Did i say i was dissappointed? Everyone blowing the title of this thread out of proportion.
Sometimes I wake up and I've slept on my hand. It doesn't Feeeeeel like my hand, it feels like someone elses hand. Then the feeling comes back and it feels like my hand again. Or does it?

Then maybe make better thread titles?
Quote:Say what u want. Im happy we won, but you can't tell me you are proud of that win.
I am proud of that win.

Don't tell me what I can tell you.

Wait a minute. I'm not supposed to be proud of a win by a Defense that was down four starters and produced six sacks, an INT, and held the bad guys to < 100 yards rushing?!

Man, the discontent runs [BLEEP] deep 'round here.

Oh, so then you're happy it felt like a loss.
Maybe some of us feel like its a loss only because the game brought up the same type of emotions. I'm glad we won, but I'm not excited like I should be. Probably because I expect us to somehow get worse during the bye and lose to the bears. Resulting in no momentum or consistency. We'll be 1-4 and all complaining again.

I want us to win, but these last few years have taught me to appreciate the good food and drinks on Sundays and expect a lose.

I must admit after Luck started carving us up in the hurry-up... I was like "here we go..."

but we won... and I was giddy.

if we drop the game to the Bears I think we have reason to complain. They aren't very good. Probably worse than the clots.

It's a SHOULD win game. Not a "could" win game.

In fact... we don't face steep competition like GB and Baltimore again until the Chiefs. Maaaybe the Raiders, but their D hasn't exactly been lights out.
Does it feel like we are 0-5? Not to me, it hasn't been the prettiest wins but 2 in a row feels great Smile

Nobody cares about ugly or pretty wins. A win is a win is a win.

You have to use much simpler terms for him.
