Quote:Come on dude, Carr so far looks head and shoulders better than Bortles.

My point is when Bortles plays like Carr, which he did today, he accused of being babied and playing safe, but Carr does it every game, and you guys praise Carr
Quote:Go be a raiders fan if you like him so much

Why for stating the truth? Let me see every jags player is the best in the NFL

And don't tell me to go be a raiders fan, I've been bought in 110% in jag land since 1995

I'm sure if Blake had no pressure and WR open like that, he would do it too, Carr didnt even get touched and nobody near him on that play

Raiders 3-1

Living up to their hype. JDR coaching them up.
Quote:He wasn't bad at all.

[BAD WORD REMOVED]?
He did the bare minimum that was needed to be done to beat the worst defense he will face all year.

He was I believe 3-10 on passes that went farther than 5 yards downfield. Some of those misses being being not high difficulty throws that he absolutely needs to make.

We put up 30 points shut up dude

Like the play where Blake had no pressure and Robinson had his man beat by a few yards and Blake under threw him by 10 yards?

Yes it should have been a penalty, but it also should have been an easy touchdown where the DB had zero chance to even make contact.
There were a lot less passes where I thought what the ....

The offence still was not moving the ball well. I think it is what it is at the moment with no change in sight

I bet he plays better than Teddy does Mon night

Really? Like the plays last week where on numerous occasions he had time and either didn't see the open receivers, or outright airmailed them? Believe me I want him to do this, and be successful, but he isn't with any consistency due to the throwing issues he had from day 1. Not fixed, and not last year either. And yes some mental issues that have become apparent too. And by the way, that was a very tight "open" in the back of the endzone.

Tired of wasting our time and fooling ourselves otherwise, we've been crappy way too long...
I've noticed a few folks saying kid's gloves and he was babied today. Allen Robinson dropped a huge chunk pass that was probably worth 40+ and he dropped a 1st down over the middle on 3rd down today as well. I don't think they were playing it safe. I think they were playing to his strengths which is, when the running game clicks, he can roll around and utilize the play action game to take some shots where he wants to. It's the right step in the right direction with him. Just need to keep building off today's success in the ground game. He had 200 yards today. And as I pointed out earlier. Give him back two drops and he's probably close to 300. That doesn't sound like he's being babied at all. The Patriots under Brady have used the short passing game and dink and dunk passes for over a decade with an occasional deep shot. Most of their receivers are YAC receivers. So please stop [BLEEP] on today's win and solid perfomance by our QB who just made his 33rd start.

Dude is talking about bare min. like he made one Tebow type play and we won 7-6, this is the NFL not college, we put up 30 on a NFL team, QB has 3 tds 99 passer rating over 200 yards, but its the bare min., he also out played the great Andrew Luck.

Give me a break how can anybody take him seriously

You just pointed out the difference youself. They have a west coast QB, in a west coast system, with west coast personnel. We don't have any of that.

That style worked fairly ok this because it was the [BLEEP] Colts and their godawful defense. We have seen how Blake fares trying to play this style against other competition and it doesn't work at all.

Don't be fooled.

Yay box score scouting. Since when is 99 passer rating and 200 yards impressive? That's baseline for a franchise QB (below average yards), and it was against horrible competition. This performance should be among his least impressive performances if he were really a franchise QB...not far and away his best performance of the year.

He doesn't get very much credit for a 3 yard slant TD where Arob leaves the DBs jock on the turf. Even the worst QB in the league makes that throw in his sleep.

He doesn't get very much credit for a simple 3 yard out where Hurns and some great downfield blocking turn into a 42 yard TD.

I really don't understand how people can be so bad at nuance.

You're so full of [BLEEP] sometimes your eyes are brown....

We had deep shots taken today or tried to allow those plays to develop. Two were dropped. Actually make it three. Robinson dropped a TD earlier too. He was going through his progressions and reads today and the receivers were being blanketed. That's why he was running and taking off for those yards he had. Considering also no Julius Thomas today and we lost Marcedes Lewis earlier on as well. Good coaches adjust. We hadn't seen Bortles rolling out or being able to buy time off the bootleg at all this year like we did last year and it finally HAPPENED today because the running game was clicking.....

Starting to think you're a troll bro. Or just a contrarian.

While you conveniently ignore three drops by Robinson with no Julius Thomas today as well right? Again, you choose to see what you want to see because you're a contrarian biased towards Bortles. Again, Robinson dropped his 3rd TD pass which gives Bortles 4 TDs on the day. He dropped a 40+ yard pass on the sideline today. And he dropped a 15+ yard pass on 3rd down as well.....

Stop trying to be the smartest guy on the board.

Nope I just don't call drops that were inaccurate passes drops. The only one that was truly a drop was the should have been TD pass. Coincidentally Blake's rush TD was the very next play so either way it's still only 3 TDs not 4.

Arob's diving non catch down the sideline was not a drop. It could have been an impressive diving catch, and there are definitely times where Arob will come down with it, but it was certainly not a drop and it needed to be thrown better. If it was thrown better that truly would have been an actual 4th TD that you were trying to manufacture. The other sideline pass was not a drop either. It was thrown too high and he was well covered. If he would have caught it it would have been a spectacular catch.

Dude Jags fans on here are embarrassing. When Bortles leaves town, and I say WHEN, jags fans can go back to their Byron Leftwich/Gabbert/Garrard 16-20 TD seasons. Blake will flourish 30-40 TD years with a real franchise and real fans

Barring two or three dodgy throws I think Blake played a very smart reserved game and we needed that from him after his poor few weeks. Still miles to go but a step in the right direction with regards to "playing smart".
