Thank you for your request. Sorry it didn't work out, much like your career at Bleacher Report.
Yes. Let's pick another QB this year. What? They're NFL ready? Oh. Let them learn on the fly? Ok. Expect another losing season.
No. You let this season go with what you have. Hopefully trade down so we have a high pick next year, when the QB draft class should be better. IF the team has a strong stable of RBs, the OLine improves...BB will be serviceable.
There's no quick fix, magic bullet at the position.
Two years ago there were boners for Bortles all over the place. Last year shrinkage,Jerry, shrinkage. This is a defining year.
Let it play out. The D, on paper, should keep us in games where we don't need 35 points to win.
PS
You lost me when you said Geno Smith was a better option.
The future weeps at you foolishness. What exactly has Bortles Bot-1000 done to show he's a better option than anyone? 2015 was the year of the Garbage Man. Padded stats don't equate to wins or high expectations, unless you're a mindless zombie regurgitating the same rhetoric from joke media members using passed down talking points.
Think Critically
my friend. You'll thank me later.
Quote:It's interesting, we suck? Sure. But we have this scapegoat attitude where we have to put someone's feet to the coals constantly. It's Olsen, so we fire him. It's Gus, we fire him. It's bottles, let's trade him. Robinson is losing it, let's not resign him.
I'm just going to let the guys who get payed to make decisions do the work and hope they don't always base their actions on what other people believe. That's all you can do really, well, that or complain constantly. My way is easier I think.

You heard the man. No more opinion on this opinion driven message board.

Oh the irony, as you mindlessly regurgitate the 'garbage time' rhetoric. There really wasn't much garbage time in 2015 - we were in most of the games to the end. And unfortunately still managed to lose most of them. There's plenty to criticise Bortles for in 2015, but garbage time stats is not one of those things.

I see you only looked at the Scores. Garbage time isn't rhetoric my man. I actually watched every games. I saw us losing games with no chance of win towards the end. They scored at the end to get close and look respectable, but their opponents didn't respect them enough to need to stop them. They didn't have to, they already won the game.
I'm sure I can find a use for moral victories. That reminds me. I'm all out of toilet paper. :thanks:

Yes. Trade Geno Smith for Bortles.
My future may or may not weep. But I'll have one. Your prognostications are DOA.
I'll give BB another year. You'll have a new QB every 2 unless they're the next Brady....or Geno.

You should be out of toilet paper. You're so full of piss.
Quote:Yet still, he has won more games in only 2 years of play than the Jaguars as an organization have won over the past 5 years, combined.
At some point, we have to realize just how empty we look redirecting our angst at a guy who has nothing to do with this team. Just because our choice at QB has proven he can't win...
If he didnt have there defense and AP he wouldn't have those wins.
My dislike for Teddy has nothing to do with who we picked, I have a problem with a QB who's best season was 3200 yards, 14 TDs and 9 INTs getting treated like he's a top 15 QB. If we had a top 5 QB I would feel the same about him.

You think Bortles Bot-1000 could've took a team to the playoffs? He had an awesome Defense last year and couldn't win. The D is the only reason we won any games or where in games we lost.
Say what you want, but winning is winning. Watch Teddy's games and see how he wills his team down field. Then watch Bortles Bot-1000 not be able to will a first down to at least give his Defense a rest. I was tired for them.

Don't want Geno, but at this point I'll take what I can get. That's what you do when you have nothing.

That awesome defense was 27th in points allowed so it's not really awesome. All that being said I'm not a Bortles fan he has the start of this year to show he can do better but most likely won't but Teddy is equally as bad.
Ted didn't take anyone to the playoffs. He was along for the ride.

Based on what is he equally bad? Wow!
By the way, see how long you can stop anyone with your offense giving you perpetual 3 and outs. Heck, they probably loved Bortle Bot-1000's getting pick 6s just to get a little breather. If you think Bortles takes any team to a playoff you're insane. Belichick would be on the outside looking in of the playoff with this guy. Teddy wasn't the best pick, but he was definitely the better pick. Don't make the same mistake Jags.

Teddy's production in 2016 was off the charts.

I think a lot of us are so used to being losers we don't know what a winner looks like. Set that chair facing the wall? Go sit in it. This conversation is for winners.

Lol... winners aren't desperate for leftovers and scraps like you're suggesting. Alpha you certainly are not.

FACE THE WALL NOW PIRKY!!!

Back to grown folk talk. Only one hour away. Trade back or Quarterback is the Answer.

Based on the fact that he has barely over a 1 to 1 career TD to INT ratio.
The fact that Robinson had just as many TDs in 2015 as Teddy did in 2015.
Your welcome to your opinion but that's all it is.
If we want to look back on that class, Carr should of been they guy. All there is to it. But we can say we should of did this or that every year. To reach for a QB again is a rookie GM move
