Quote:How long was Telvin on the sidelines in his rookie year before he got the start?

I understand the impatience. We all want to see the new "toys" and talent. It's hard to wait for.

But, if Jack truly is going to be a talented, true leader of the defense, is it such a bad thing to let him get a strong understanding of many positions? Nope.

Poz won't be around forever. Jack is the apparent "leader in waiting". He most likely will be around and leading this defense for a long time. Let him learn. We'll get to see him on the field a lot soon enough.

Telvin Smith was a 5th round pick.

We are already Cleveland South, damnit.
Quote:Loving this doozy of a tweet from Oehser: Jaguars DC Todd Wash said team teaching LB Myles Jack other roles than WLB and MLB. Said team needs to find way to "get him on the grass."

The NFL should start a training camp season so coaches can evaluate their players and strategize how to get the best ones on the field.

No way bro. Jags would get some type of advantage from that.

Cleveland doesn't even belong in the conversation with Seattle and the Jags.  We're transforming the way the NFL plays football.  Once this rebuild is finished in a few years (after 3 more top 5 draft picks) you're easily see the connection.

Yeh, going directly from the draft to the regular season places us at a disadvantage to be able to evaluate the new talent we obtained.

The other thing is the NFL needs to release their schedule earlier.  We played Indy 2x last year so we thought it was highly unlikely we'd face them again this season.  Had the NFL released their schedule, we could have been game planning for Andrew Luck months ago.

It's unfair we had to play Rivers again. Don't they know he takes PEDs and is unstoppable? NFL has it out for us.

If only we had signed Greg Hardy.

I know right? That way he could have been suspended when he got busted for cocaine.....

All he would have had to do is drive into a body of water. Cocaine in dissolved, problem solved. Should've hired Matt Jones as an advisor and not just as his dealer.
Plus, our team could use the cocaine. They would be amped up and atleast not play flat!

“He understands that those guys in front of him are playing well, but we’ve got to find a way to get him on the grass,” Wash said. “I don’t think anything’s top secret. I just think there are other positions he can play on our defense.”

Wow, our staff is truly CLUELESS. Make it stop!!!

The guys in front of him are playing well...we are 0-3.

We saw it in the preseason, when he is on the field, he will make an impact. Coaching staff is clueless and incompetent that Jack hasn't logged significant minutes.

Gus' delusion has rubbed off on all of the assistants and coordinators. This is a HUGE problem and very telling of what is happening behind closed doors. It is officially time to PANIC.

I was one of those that was willing to wait until this year to see what the coaching staff would do with an upgraded roster. This year (so far) more than any other has really showed the quality of coach Gus Bradley is. Just terrible football being played by this talented team.

After we go to 0-4, I'm all in on getting the highest draft pick possible (whether we use it or trade down for more picks IDC) and hoping the Saints lose every game the rest of the year so Sean Payton gets fired. This team is way too talented to be 0-3 and with the amount of young talent + another high draft pick should make us a very attractive option for potential coaches.

I still believe Marrone as an interim could turn an 0-4 team around. The division is still winnable and that starts Sunday.

Yup Jack will replace Skuta this week, about time, get the kid on the field

There is a lot of crap flinging in here, but when was Jack going to get on the field? The two positions he was learning have the guys (Telvin/Poz) playing lights out. I would like to see him replace Skuta, but all indications were he hasn't been grasping the other two positions very well. He has only just recently been learning the third LB position. Look, the dude is talented, but that only gets you so far if you don't understand the scheme and play out of position. In any case, with Fowler hurt and Skuta being invisible, I think desperation gets Jack on the field. Here's to hoping he lives up to the hype!

It would be ownership Malfeasance to not give marrone a chance to right the ship.
