Favorite movie released during my teen years?  Probably... Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.  My (now) wife and I saw all three movies in theaters together, and they were awesome.

Hamburger The Motion Picture

Quote:16 Candles belongs on that list. The others... notsomuch. I don't know, neither Breakfast Club nor St. Elmo's Fire ever resonated with me. Just didn't like them. 16 Candles however kills me every time.
Uhhhhh......yes, they both most certainly do according to my childhood. ACTUALLY SIR, 16 candles is BELOW those other two, so you are definitely wrong and kind of dumb too......TBH, IMO.

Smokey and the Bandit comes to mind...and Caddy Shack (I think I was still in my teens when that came out).

We must be the same age because those movies where IT when I was a teenager. We also had the Rambo movies, Predator, Alien, Terminator (the first one anyway), Back to the Future, etc. Other than the clothes, accessories, and hair, the 80's was a great decade to be a teen. We also had MTV when it was good, as in, what it was what it was meant to be. Although I enjoyed the first season of The Real World that was the point of no return for the crapfest MTV turned into.

You were a teen for a long time, huh? No wonder you're so angst ridden.  Smile
I've lost track of time during my 48 years on this earth.

I remember seeing the "Upset Husband" scene and not being able to catch my breath for about ten minutes from laughing so hard.
Jaws and Star Wars were two of my favorites.

Agree with Jaws.

And I'll add Rocky & Rocky II
