I could see Okudah being that one common top 5 in mocks falling to 9 in draft day.

Happens every year for a multitude of reasons. A lot of it boils down to what happens in March once Free Agency starts rocking and rolling. And then of course the combine and interview process will cause players to rise and fall here and there.

Everywhere I look I keep seeing him slotted to be with the Lions at pick three. Which seems high for a cornerback. I know Okudah is good. But is he really THAT good? I don't think you take a CB that high unless he has Revis, Woodson or Sanders like abilities.

I haven't watched a lot of OSU to know if he's that kind of football player. Detroit all seems to have a lot of holes right now talent wise. They have a group of RB's but not a guy that really carries the offense. And outside of Golladay they seem to lack big playmakers on the outside.

They also had three different starting QB's last year. Not sure how well their offensive line played in 2019 but maybe poor play there is why you had so many different starting QB's. It's anyone's guess with what they do this off season. Especially with all of this talk about Stafford and Tagovailoa all of a sudden that's been drummed up in the Media.
Okudah is Ramsey level good

Truly? Is he good enough to sabotage his reputation within three years to parlay that into a trade to land on a relatively sub par and underachieving team as well? Pray do tell.

I agree with this
Most of the drafts at the moment assume there are no trades into the top five.

I can imagine a team like Detroit being only to happy to pick up more picks if they get an offer from a team that really wants Tua (and fears he will go to Miami or LA).

If that happens, maybe Okudah does fall a bit. But all the way to nine? Seems unlikely.
Prisco's first mock of the season: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news...n-round-1/

He has Okudah falling to 9!!!! Only for the Jags to pass on him and take Becton instead #becausejaguars. Jags then take Blacklock at 20. I like Becton and Blacklock but neither seem good value at those spots.

If the draft fell this way they should go 9: Okudah, 20: A. Thomas and it would be A+++++

I hated that mock draft.  I've seen another mock that was even more infuriating, where a guy projected up to take DeAndre Swift at #9, but this Prisco effort is sufficiently obnoxious on its own.

I do NOT want Becton, especially at the expense of an Okudah.

Lol Swift at 9 would make me put a boot through the tv

I actually like Becton but if given the choice between Becton and whoever at 20 vs Okudah and Thomas?! I'll take Okudah and Thomas without a doubt.

I stopped reading at "Only for the Jags to pass". I knew at that point, the rest would be nonsense.
Completely disgusting draft by Prisco. This team needs to hit it out of the park with 5 star talent with those first two picks and to suggest that would be completely awful. Just put me out of my misery if something like this were to happen.

Yeah... not only are 8 teams going to pass on Okudah... but Jax will as well after jettisoning their #1 shut down corner last year.
And then... we'll take someone who best projects as a 3T at 20....

How can I get a job posting crappy mock drafts for CBS?
Okudah and Jones would be better.
Here is Chad Reuter's latest 3 round mock.

I hate our pick at 20, even though we need a TE.

So pardon the question if Okudah is crybaby level good why would we not package number 9 and number 20 to move up to get him if he falls to 5 or later. We still have next years first rounder from the hams? Seriously why not?

And you still have a grt corner on the cheap.

Because this team has many holes. They need both first rounders.

Well yea i get that but if we didnt trade crybaby we wouldnt have had the extra pick in the first place and would have had to break the brinks truck cash out.
