Rookie in my eyes, and many others.

Let me guess .... you all don't have season tickets and have spent the past 7 years throwing your money down the St John's River only to come home suicidal each week.

Until you spend $$ on season tix please refrain from criticizing people complaining about going 12-39 in the past 51 games

I remember getting blasted for saying I wouldn't buy season tickets this year until they prove something. So glad I didn't.

People know that there were some bright spots but those are moot due to the fact that we lost. Winning is the only thing that matters. Always has been and always will be. People like to give Gus the first 2 years as a pass but that's dumb. You gotta win in this league at all costs.

No, the difference here is that it is much easier to take a loss when you don't have time, $$, and your heart & soul invested into the product.

The bright side is we're a handful of plays away from being 2 and 1.  This is a game of inches.  As it pertains to the Ravens game, the biggest gaffe by Bortles primarily because of when it happened was him taking the sack right before Myers kick got blocked.  That backed that kick up an extra 10 yards and turned it from a 42 to a 52 yard field goal which was then blocked.  You absolutely cannot take a sack there.  A 42 yarder isn't going to be kicked as low as a 52 yarder and should be harder to block as a result.  I guess you could hang some of the responsibility there on Olsen as well for not calling a running play or a roll out to ensure we didn't take the sack.  A 4 point lead would have forced the Ravens to go for the endzone and made it much more difficult for them.  They have one of the best kickers in the league.  I think I just talked myself into blaming Olsen more than Bortles for that but they both still hold some blame.

Quote:The jumping one was a lot worse because it gave Justin Tucker another chance after missing the first time. Fortunately Dante Fowler made some good plays and will be a great player for us when he stops making mental errors.
In terms of the situation I agree.

I am saying put the situations aside. Jumping over the defender, I mean... how he DOESN'T know this I have no idea but the blocker went pretty low on him. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt on that one. The hands to the face one, I mean I need a gif of this one. There is no words to describe it. He shoved both hands in the defenders face and never took them off. He then comes to the sideline almost confused as to why he got a penalty and needed coach Gus and Marks to explain to him the rules.

I hear ya...

But there is no bright side until Gus Bradley is fired.

As long as he is the coach, we are stuck in a bland and grey perpetual malaise of a winter of discontent and apathy. The whisky is sour as vinegar and the temperature of the devil's breath, the beer is flat and burns the tounge and sinuses more than a point blank attack of a threatened skunk. And the chicken wings are merely the dried up bones of a plague infested pigeon shipped from the Hades that is Houston Texas.
As others said it's time for actual results. Not looking for silver linings amongst awful performances

We should have a day where all posts are as uniquely worded as this one.  Would be quite an interesting day of reading.

You need to put that part in the season tickets post game experience if you have season ticks. That is golden!

More the so the Ravens have a really bad offense than anything else.

The only thing that matters is the actual definition of a rookie. And nobody in the media calls him a rookie because they all know that.

Oh well, I do. Get over it, see ya!

The Ravens had a really bad offense when Joe Flacco, Steve Smith, Justin Forsett, and Dennis Pitta were on IR.

Based on the understandable tone of the Forum the rest of Sunday,  I think it would have been better to write out your positive thoughts about the game and post it on Tuesday.   When reading even two or three threads about the game Sunday Night,  it was apparent that very few Jaguars fans that posted were looking for anything positive other than a coaching change.   Two seasons ago,  I think many more fans of the team would have been looking for silver linings than at present.

A running play would be just as bad with the five guys up front. None of them are good run blockers. What Blake should have done was throw the ball away to avoid yardage loss on the play. I can't blame that sack on Greg Olson.
On the bright side, football has no bearing on each of our lives. So It's all really just irrelevant.

Good lord...shut up with this already. We had this argument like 2 weeks ago. Give it up. Most people consider him a rookie as he hadn't played a snap in the league before this year, nor even suited up for an actual practice (that was a walkthrough with a bunch of rookies, most of which weren't even making the team).

If you don't want to call him a rookie fine, but I will and whoever else that wants to will as well. This is his first year playing in the NFL. He has no experience or playing time under his belt until this year. So I'm going to call him a rookie.

It is sad that fans don't care about the silver linings less than 48 hours after a loss like that one. I miss the days when people were happy and talking about how good plays were made here and there, no severe injuries were suffered, etc. on the day after a game. My idea was to divert their attention from doom and gloom to seeing the silver linings. My mom gave me that advice after a vet told me my cat has only a few weeks left to live. Yes, all losses hurt, but people are able to think about the bright side if they want to. It is their choice if they don't want to think about Malik Jackson's sack, Allen Robinson's two TDs, our takeaways, and the lack of new injuries on our sideline, among other things..
So people wanted me to post this sooner? Haha
