Frankly, I'm interested to see if he can bring some of what he did with AP into Fournette's game. Both are big, bruising backs, and let's face it, the team seems hell bent on making him the centerpiece.
I wonder if this brings any FA over from WAS or CIN that he has established rapport with.
All I know is we'd have never brought him in if Flippin' Coughlin were still at the F
Fournette does not belong in the same sentence as AP
He is not a true power back, he rarely makes a defender miss and he does not show the speed to out run CB or safeties.
I am a fan of this hire.
I think Gruden at OC will bring our offense to be substantially better with regards to playcalling and getting the most out of our players.
Just beef up the offensive line and watch good things happen with Minshew and this offense.

I'm hoping for a combo of DT, WR and Oline in the draft. No particular order really.
Hopefully Gruden will bring in a Chris Thompsonesque playmaking pass catcher at RB that can do some damage in the passing game and spell LF more.

Gerold Bright, J.J Taylor & Eno Benjamin would be ideal. Probably late pick-up's in the draft. If Najee Harris were leaving Alabama I would have thrown his name out here. Same as Chubba Hubbard out of Oklahoma St.
I would like to see some of the things that Hackett actually did back in 2017 with Fournette, Grant and Yeldon. They had some decent packages where they both saw the field at the same time in split back sets or gun sets and it worked from time to time.
And I do think that Ozigbo could be good in that role if given the chance.
I'm excited to see the outcome (on the field of play) w/respect to hiring Gruden. I feel that he was the best applicant available and I'm curious to see how he sets up his play calling.

No. He won Arena Bowls as a player, then multiple Arena Bowls as coach of the Predators. As best I recall it, he voluntarily stepped down because he wanted to play again, so he played two more years as the starting QB for the Orlando team he'd just coached. He was called back up to the head coaching job when the man hired to replace him died after two years on the job. It wasn't like he sucked as a coach and was demoted to player. He was a successful coach and OC in his own right...but spending several years working as an assistant coach under Jon didn't hurt his NFL prospects.

The more I think about the more I realize that Hackett was a pretty good OC
