I really don't like the way things are shaping up at 20. It was nice when Henderson or Ruggs were there in handfuls of mocks. Now it looks like the start of a really big tier break. I haven't seen a mock where I have been happy with our pick at 20 in a long time. Josh Jones is just about the only person I ever see in that range that doesn't feel like a reach.
Trade up to get Kinlaw, Ruggs, or Henderson. Trade down to the middle of the tier and still have plenty of Jackson, Mims, Jefferson, Ruiz, Blacklock, or plethora of corner/safety options left to pick from. Just don't stick at 20 please.
Never know who's gonna' fall there, but I'm OK with it being a QB that somebody else wants really badly.

I'm not tempting fate. I'm trading up to get one of the few difference makers left. One of Wirfs/Wills/Thomas plus one of Kinlaw/Henderson/Ruggs would have me doing backflips.

We certainly have the picks to move up, and that's before any Ngakoue trade.
I agree.
Of course the problem is gonna be that if we see 20 as being a spot where the talent drops off, then other teams will almost certainly see the same. Trading could be tricky.
Agree. Go up and get Jeudy. Okudah, Jeudy, and Blacklock/Gallimore. Done and done
I'd love to trade up for Kinlaw, Lamb or maybe a OT, but if we stay I am starting to like Terrell and Fulton.

In general I agree, but 20 is a decent spot for a couple of our non needs. Maybe an LB needy team that wants Murray or Queen, or a team that wants Chaisson or Gross-Matos. 20 is a good range for a couple of those guys to go.
Trade up or maybe we get someone to give us next year's 1st for it

Agree.
Sometimes trading down out of no-mans-land for a lower pick works better than reaching up. Depends who's there, and what your trading partner is asking/offering.
That's the variable rarely mentioned in these scenarios - what the trading partner is asking for that move upwards.
Anyone got free time to look up the picks at 20 the last 10-15 years?
Last year at 20 went Fant but right after? Savage and Dillard.
I feel pretty confident that Dave will he attempting to trade up. Can’t see him bringing in 12 rookies.

That list at 20 is not pretty. Not that that means anything much.
Yes trading up makes a ton of sense at #20, and we have more than enough capital to do so.
Moving up to 13/14/15/16 would only cost around a 2020 3rd and 2021 3rd I would say, depending on the team

Unless a top tier talent you had rated in the top ten falls to twenty you should be looking to trade down. My hope is that some team like New England (23rd pick), New Orleans (24th pick) or San Francisco (31st pick) want to move up to draft Jordan Love.
Could swap 1st RD picks with either of those teams on opening night while maybe picking up the 98th and 110th pick from New England, or the 88th pick from New Orleans. San Francisco would have to give up a future pick for me there. To move up 11 spots from 31 to 20?
Need a future pick, probably a 2nd round pick at the minimum and at least the 156th pick and maybe the 210th pick to make it somewhat worth while. That's a huge difference in value to jump up from 31 to 20.
