Not sure what it is but I'm just getting a strange feeling that something's brewing. Whether it's a trade with Cleveland, a Bortles-to-Arizona blockbuster or something else, I just get the feeling that Coughlin is itching to make his mark and not just sit there at 4 and take the BAP.
Bortles to Arizona may sound off the wall but I know Arians loved him before the draft and Carson Palmer is about done. I'm just throwing an example out there but I think the Jags are looking to shake things up in this draft.
Everything this organization has put out there since January has reflected a sense of urgency and win-now thinking. I think something big is going to happen in this draft, be it during Thursday's first round or later on.
Am I alone in thinking this?
all the hate for blakes inconsistency aside, I dont know how you can be in a win now mode while gettin rid of the closest thing you've had to an above average qb since Gerrard (maybe later) and still say your in win now mode.
I want to think Blake is gunna be an big ben style wb who needs to spend 10 weeks on form every off season.
sure trade back, totally agree with it, grab the best OL or Barnett because he actually fits a 4-3 and looks like a legit pass rusher. Dumping off a QB this early in a career seems to me as a mistake. He's better than henne, Fitz, ect. Head and shoulders over Gabbert, and has shown potential for top ten.
I have an uneasy feeling myself. The Watson smoke is starting to catch fire for me a bit, in a possible Arizona trade as you mentioned.
But then again I had an uneasy feeling about Manziel too.
My gut still says we go Allen or Fournette, but it's feeling way more up in the air than usual.

I'm still a huge Bortles supporter. I think he'll be fine under this staff. I don't want them to or think they will move on yet, but it's just feeling weird as the OP said.
I don't get the Arizona love for Bortles. Arians loved him before the draft, but what about now, after his regression? At this point, we would be extremely lucky to get a fourth round pick for him. I hope I'm wrong, though.

Minnesota just traded a 1st for Bradford last year and Chicago just paid Mike freaking Glennon $15mil per year...
We could get a 2nd for Blake at least

I hope you're right. But Minnesota lost Bridgewater right before the season started. At that point they didn't have a lot of options to acquire a replacement, so they probably felt pressured to make that deal.
I'm going to say Jags end up with Christian McCaffrey. Whether at 4 or in a trade down.
One great year. One not so great. The team started him when he was supposed to ride the pine a bit and learn
Give him this year, get the run game going, and let's see.
They dump him this early and it's a mistake.
Jags not in a win it all now mode.
Fingers crossed for Adams, or in the ideal event of a trade down, Lamp or Howard.

Taking Allen at 4 would be the most boring pick of the entire draft. I just don't see him being a top 10 talent in this draft. He can't win on the outside. I've got higher hopes of Thomas being able to transition his game to the outside bc of his athleticism but Allen tested so bad I just don't see how he fits a 4-3. Give me fournette or Thomas and I'm definitely on board with Watson at 4. [BLEEP] I'd take lamp at 4 before I'd take Allen.

One possibility is multiple trades by the Jaguars, including with the # 4 overall pick and Blake Bortles. It's possible the Jaguars trade down, draft a QB, and with the extra draft picks, trade for veteran QB who would be an upgrade over Chad Henne.
Johnny O-Zone has us taking Malik Hooker in his 4.0 Mock. I would be ok with that. Jalen, A.J. and that guy? With some speedy playmaking LB's and a good front 4? Make stronger your strength. BUT I WANT LENNY
I think they are really trying to trade down and putting out all the QB rumours in the hope someone trades up with us rather than with the Titans.
This is the most unpredictable draft of the last few years (2015 anyone knew Winston-Mariota were a lock at 1-2, last year Goff-Wentz) and if the 49ers don't go QB at that point trades could happen at anytime and start a domino scenario.
It'll be fun tomorrow.
My only hope is we won't go RB or QB at 4, other than that I'll be probably really happy with the pick.

Me and you were on the Watson train after the National Championship game.
Catching fire for me too.

Completely agree.
the pick is fournette . book it

LOL. No.
I'll question everything if the pick AT FOUR isn't fournette... if we trade back then obviously that changes.. but Fournette legit right away makes our offense better. Instantly
