I'm all for Jeudy at #9.
I like Keelan,I hope we keep him. Thought he was going to have a breakout year last year..

Minshew - Chark - Jeudy - Westbrook

Trade up with #20 to get an OT and we are ready on offense

I can't see a receiver at 9 unless Brown, Okudah and Simmons are all gone. If that happens, Jeudy or Lamb are definite possibilities. Hopefully one of those 3 will be available. The best value at receiver will be in round 3 where guys like Pittman, Hill or Edwards all would be solid picks. The WR class is so deep that it wouldn't be a bad idea to take another one in round 6 like Gandy-Golden from Liberty. Cole has had some very good moments (his one-handed catch is a top 10 all-time Jaguars play), but he is "just a guy" and can easily be replaced. Getting a 4th or 5th for him would be a no-brainer.

So is a WR room of Chark / Rd 2/3 receiver (many good prospects) / et al

I'd rather have a LT, DT, or Okudah at #9 and nab whomever falls at #20 -- hopefully a projected top 15 WR, CB, OT, DT.
I wouldn't hate the idea of Jeudy at #9, but I think Jags go with one of Brown, Simmons, Okudah, or Kinlaw. I think one of those will be available (most likely Kinlaw) and that's who we get. Best available OT/CB/WR with the #20.
Jeudy's skill set is going to translate instantly into the NFL. He's going to be good from the very get go and is only going to get better with time.

Okudah and Simmons would be great, but the chances they're still on the board at #9 is likely very slim.
1. Young
2. Okudah
3. Simmons
4. Wills
5. Juedy

^i think those are our top 5 players on Dave’s Big Board
Me thinks they will all go b4 we pick , besides Juedy.

No doubt, he seems to be pretty elusive. If he had better hands he'd actually be a pretty good possession receiver. Being undrafted though he's definitely replaceable, a 4th round pick would be to hard to pass up.

Let's be honest.  He'd be the best starter we've had here in years.

I'd be fine with bringing in Dalton as a free agent to compete with Dobbs, but trading for him would be a mistake/waste.
Totally agree.

Not to mention they would have to pay him his contract.
Yeah, there's no reason to pay Dalton a ton of money to lead us to 5-11 and the 7th overall pick. Let the GM drama play out to likely the same conclusion or a fairy tale 12-4 finish which would be a lot of fun for everyone. If GM is not the guy, go with Dobbs and make a run at 2-14 and Trevor Lawrence.
With the hoard of pro-caliber WRs in this draft, no team is going to give up a decent draft pick for Keelan Cole. He's a 4th or 5th WR on most rosters and doesn't contribute anything meaningful on special teams.

I guess the thinking is what if Minshew gets hurt early or defenses shut him down based on last year's film? Dave and Doug need someone to ride in on a white horse from the bench and save their jobs. But Dalton is not that guy and, yes, he would prevent us from taking Trevor. So, it would be a double-edged defeat for the franchise.

The only one winning in that scenario would be Jay Gruden, who'd likely be interim HC with his former QB as a placeholder QB. This would buy him time as he transitions to next year's Jordan Love (picking outside the top 10).
I think I'd rather keep Cole. I still think he can develop a little more consistency.

I'm good rolling with Minshew and this guy:

No Dalton, please.
Would be akin to that broncos Flacco signing.
Can't believe NASA actually found a helmet capable of fitting Dobb's fivehead sized noggin. I am impressed. Maybe NASA should design the NFL's helmets.
I think the Jags should draft almost completely on the offensive side of the ball. There are too many holes to fill in one year so give this young QB a better offensive line and better weapons.

I am starting to like Lamb or Jeudy at 9 if Brown and Wills are gone.

And catch up with modern day NFL style of play?

He looked good on his few kickoff returns last year.

I like Cole a lot, but a 4th in this draft is very tempting.

As a Gator fan I watched the Orange Bowl against Virginia. Virginia had a receiver, Hasise Dubois, who tore up the Gator's secondary. He also went over 1000 yards receiving last year, with ZERO drops, so it wasn't just the one game. I expected him to be rated in the top ten draft prospects, but the only list I've seen him in has him at #64. If there are 63 better WRs in this draft then we ought to replace our entire WR corps with our late round picks.
