If neon deion was the general managers, we have players wanting to come here and we'd be winners not perennial losers.
You realize how good you were as a player means nothing about the type of executive you are? There are so many examples of hall of fame/former players being terrible GMs.

He gonna be a Jaguar if we don't get Dalton
If you want to be in the Trevor Lawrence Sweepstakes you don't make this move. Newton would win just enough to move us out of that.
And you don't think Minshew with Gruden and McAdoo won't at least figure out a way to win six games this year? We're not finishing poor enough to hold the number one overall pick. I don't think this team has ever had that pick in it's possession since the expansion year. That was the only time we held it.
The only way we're getting Lawrence is if the Rams tanks due to an injury with Goff or we hand over both of our first round picks and probably the following year's 1st and 2nd RD picks to land him. And that's if that team truly doesn't need a QB because they have a franchise guy that also went down due to injury.
The problem is that next year you'll have the Steelers, Packers, Clots, Redskins, Lions, Browns & possibly the Raiders all in the running for this kid or wanting a good look at him due to getting long in the tooth at the QB position or ready to get into the next era or phase. And yes, that's even with Love in Green Bay this year and Eason with the clots, etc.
Unless Carr plays well enough to get the Raiders into the play-off's this season I wouldn't rule them out as being the top team to seek Lawrence out. Especially with Mike Mayock's infatuation with Clemson and their football players. He would probably convince Gruden and Davis to fork over the next three year's worth of 1st RD picks to draft him.

Exactly. And if Sanders had that much pull you would think he would have already been added onto a team's front office somewhere.

Dude, you need to change your username. Because a baller like Josh Allen don't want to lose on purpose. You ain't Josh Allen #1 draft of the Jaguars last year.
