I think S and WR are the most likely. I also think we could trade back into the 3rd with a couple of 4th round picks. In that case then we will go DT or OL I suspect.
I think a Fournette trade could also be likely (I hope so) and then we do a replacement pick for him.
I think we will replace Fournette with or without a trade. From what I can tell, Dave and Doug really dislike the guy. They think he's a disruptive, negative presence in the locker room. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Fournette is released right after the draft. Just let go. I don't think anyone, including the Jags, want him and his $4 million contract.

I think we will also draft a WR today.
I think RB comes in the 4th round.
When did $4 million for a RB become such a detriment to someone's value lol Not like Fournette sucks or anything, he's a good NFL RB
Mckinney
Delpit
Winfield
Josh Jones
Jaylon Johnson
Mims
Pittman
Higgins
Shenault
Blacklock
Claypool
We get one of these guys for sure.

I think it's more of a personal thing. They think he's a locker room cancer.
If they can get Shenault or Pittman Jr, then that’s ideal. If not, then hopefully Jones.
Mims is complicated. Looks like he’s got all the tools but he’s not consistent. My top 3 for round 2:
1. Pittman Jr
2. Shenault
3. Jones
I would have liked a left tackle too, but think that ship has sailed.
It would be nice to give Minshew another target and one of Kmet, Mims, Shennault or Pittman might help and there will be some decent safeties available too.
But l think the need for DT is greater and there should be some good options for us to choose from. Blacklock would be my first choice.
Maybe Elliott, Gallimore or Davis, but not sure they're worth a high second round pick.
A lot of the teams ahead of us in round 2 could take WR so they need to be proactive about moving up and getting one.
Guys I want at #42
Shenault
Mims
Delpit
Jones
Hunt
My top 3 for round 2:
1. Delpit
2. Jones
3. Higgins
I'm excited for these two rounds because I think we will be wheeling and dealing around making moves with our draft capital.
I wold take Higgins personally (if available). I really think we need some fuel to power this Minshew rocket ship.
Look for a trade up from pick 42. In the past 2 of 3 drafts, DC has traded up to take who he considers first round talents at key positions (ROT Jawaan Taylor 2019 and LOT Cam Robinson 2017). Once they are within close striking range (within a few picks), he has shown his willingness to use day 3 picks to go get the player.
Who could be late 1st round type talents remaining that might be on DC's trade up radar? Some thoughts:
WR Mims/Higgins/Shenault ...weaponize the outside opposite Chark, an upgrade over Conley and Cole for Minshew.
DT Blacklock ...provides a younger version of Malik Jackson, pass rush from the DT3T.
RB Swift/Taylor ...replacement to Fournette with better versatility for Gruden's scheme.
CB Johnson/Fulton ...create a young dynamic pairing with Henderson.
OT Jones ...developmental competition for Cam Robinson, in his last year of contract.
It has to be a RB?
Replaced Ramsey and Yan
Time to replace Fournette
(04-24-2020, 07:51 AM)The Real Marty Wrote: [ -> ]So we got a CB to replace Ramsey, then we got a DE to replace Ngakoue, see a theme there? Who else is leaving the team? Fournette. So we will draft a RB tonight, maybe right off the bat.
They're replacing the malcontents.
Yep.
We did the same thing last year with Bryan and Williams replacing Malik and Telvin.
I could definitely see RB tonight.
People really mad that the team said "we feel good about our OL" and then didn't draft OL in round 1? lol
Look for them to add a guard in rounds 3-5 for depth and competition at RG... that's it. Holding your breath for a LT at this point is suicide.
I think with the way the boards are looking WR, S, and interior DL (or 34 end types) are the next targets. RB, interior OL, and TE will come later.
I agree with some posters who think this is when we'll see some of the extra 4ths and later round picks get packaged to move up.
Move up in round 2 perhaps for a 1st round graded prospect that has fallen (Delpit?) and then perhaps move back into round 2 for another day 1 starter (WR?)

This is spot on. The fact that they didn’t consider one of the fallen OL with #9 is pretty clear they are happy with what they have this year.
They’ll likely try to make a play for whoever the mystery player is that Silver referred to in his article. I’m gonna guess Delpit or one of the many WR mentioned in this thread, but I’d rather they let the board come to them at 42, then use the 4ths and 5ths trade ammo at 73 and 116. Gotta think there will be a run on a couple tackles and a couple safeties before our pick to give us our choosing at WR or IDL.
I still think they will look to add a interior OL player. I don't think it will be a priority in rd 2. It'll probably be rd 3. Kindley is probably their guy.
Maybe WR round 2 with guard round 3
Gross Matos (Could be BAP and always nice to have pass rushers)
Blalock
Fulton
Delpit
Josh Jones
Diggs

If Soloman Kindley is available when we pick in round 3 that'd be a solid selection.
If they wait later til round 4 or so maybe we see Tyler Biadasz taken, a guy that can play C and G, perhaps starting at RG and taking over for Linder in a couple seasons.
Id like Blacktock because hes a + run defender at 41, then see if we can package a deal to get back into the 2nd and pick up a Higgins/Pittman at receiver. That will be a GOOD Friday for me.
