ESPN simulated the Jags being 3-13, getting the #1 pick. They beat the Dolphins, somehow the Vikings, and another team.
Minshew gets benched during the season.

I think a lot has to do with how Gruden runs the offense. If the receivers can get open, and the offensive line blocks, and our RB's have vision and elusiveness, then we have a chance to win a few games. If he gets conservative and unimaginative, then I can see us getting blown out several games. Pretty sure that Wash will flounder again, and blame it all on having young talent. Defense will be gassed and not be able to keep the offense in the game.
My feeling is that the offense doesn't take a big leap this year, and we squeak out a 4-12 season.
My final prediction is the Jaguars will end up as low as 0-16 or as high as 16-0. My gut feeling is it will be somewhere in between.
I know everyone is doom and gloom on the Jaguars but I like the shift to young talent that wants to prove themselves here. Schobert gives us a real MLB solution and Jack can play where he actually has an impact. Allen and Chaisson will be one of the best young tandems in the league. Our secondary will be pretty sketchy. I think our offense actually has a lot of weapons. Minshew is a good QB, and can make a play. I hope Eifert gives us something at TE. But I mean between Chark, Shenault, Conley, Westbrook, Cole we have places to go with the ball. All we were getting from Fournette since 2018 is 2 yards and a cloud of bust.

if doug is fired midseason,or sometime after a couple loses jags end up with winning record cause gruden has fire unlike lazy doug.

Agree on the LB group. Our LB group last year was so bad and even one of the big reasons for our poor run D. I think Jack makes his first Pro Bowl at WLB
Assuming the season plays through...I have my doubts... I see an 8-8 or 9-7 team. Yeah I said it and don’t give a hoot nanny. Minshew is gonna ball out like he did when frothnette wasn’t in last year. We are gonna win one of these games against the clots or [BLEEP]...then we are going to rock Miami and the Bengals. We will be 3-1 when we face the Texans and you guys will be on the Minshew hype train.
That’s my call- like it hate it- whatever.

It all depends on the offense gelling. We saw last year for the first time in a while WRs running open across the field. Add in a new offense that looks to exploit the defense, instead of just running it up the middle, they may have enough skill weapons.
The defense will be terrible at the back end, so doubt they figured out how to play Wash's scheme. Maybe they are smarter players and maybe the LBs play their zones correctly.
Could be a special season but in typical Jags fashion it won't or the Jags will be leading the league and the season gets shutdown. No matter what, no one gets fired.

I feel like this one is pretty close

What did everyone say before the 2017 season? I don’t remember and who cares. Any given Sunday baby!
With that said- I’m stocking up on tissues just in case.
My pessimism/realism says 4 wins. My hope for lighting in a bottle says 8 wins.
I think I had predicted 9 wins back in the spring.
We have a good chance to have a decent offense. I'm scared of our defense, especially the middle of the DL and the safeties.

Now you can't find THAT kind of analysis anywhere else!
The absolute CRAZY part is that with this Covid 19 stuff, a shortened season is not fully out of the picture.

I gotta feeling that they will win some and lose a lot.
6-10 but on the upswing by seasons end.
I think we end up with a better record than the Rams, sucks for Donald
put me down for 4-12, although the games will be a lot closer than the record. They'll be scrappy early, but youth will tire as the season drags on, and losing is a mindset I don't know that we've fully grown out of.

You have to balance that against the wisdom experience will gain as the season progresses.
My biggest trepidation is injuries. The main reason we went so far in 2017 is the sheer lack of injuries. We were one ACL tear away from a truncated season.
