I'm not sure what he even said about it.  And what are you saying about CAFE standards?

Trump said it was CAFE standards driving auto prices sky high and its not true at all. CAFE standards are very relaxed many states have stricter standards then the CAFE standards. The technology has outpaced the requirement easily so 35mpg average is an easy target to hit. Secondly the cost of automotive vehicles is not sky rocketing it’s remained stable the higher cost is mostly attributed to additional features expected in even base models now, backup cameras (this ones required by law now) lane assist, electric power steering, Bluetooth everything, air conditioned seats, etc....

If the only goal was to not lose supporters then fine Trump won if it was to win supporters it’s a toss up neither did particularly well
Dana Bash on CNN called the debates a [BLEEP] show. She actually said the word. She's right.

There aren't any undecideds in this election.

I completely disagree. Chris Wallace is a thoroughly professional journalist and wish there were more like him.

He was better but has changed greatly over the years. Maybe he is "good" compared to the rest of the media, but he has lost what he was.

At the end of the day, this didnt change anybody's mind who they were voting for BUT......it may sway people to stay home, which in the end helps Trump.

Agree. Tucker or Brett would be better choices.
When they were talking about the vaccines, Trump said that he had one of the pharmaceutical CEOs in his office to discuss vaccines recently, and CEO had said it could be ready as soon as November.
I immediately got an image in my head of Trump and whoever the CEO was talking in the oval office, but they weren't really talking, Trump was interrupting him over and over again just like he interrupted Wallace, never hearing the CEO explain what the actual situation is.
I get the impression you can't bring him bad news. if you tell him something he doesn't want to hear he either ignores you, or badgers you until he feels like you're saying something he wants to hear. Psychologically unfit to be anything other than a carnival Barker, certainly not a leader of anything.

Cool story bro.

You will never have a civil debate when a pandemic and deceased family member are being politicized.
Trump needs to win suburban moms who were turned off of him last election. He lost those tonight. I think he could have influenced them with a strong showing. Biden won't lose the radical left. It's silly you guys think that.

Trump needed to win this debate and he failed to do that. His "performance" will motivate the majority of undecided voters to vote for Biden. He could not even denounce white supremacy. You don't think that bothers most people? Even Rick Santorum, CNN's token republican could not defend Trump. The nightmare of the Trump presidency is about to be over.

Bernie Bros take a lot of motivating to crawl out of the basement. This was a complete [BLEEP] show but turnout or lack thereof will be huge this election IMO.

On the suburban women, it comes down to the need for civility or law and order.

Do you know what these CEOs are doing? They are working to produce the vaccine already. They aren't waiting because they know if they are first, they win. That is why Trump is saying that the vaccine will be ready soon. Most of these people saying no are stupid and have been in slow government forever.

Sure Trump may embellish it, but that is what every salesman does. Trump is a salesman and what every CEO is.

They should have had Andy Cohen from Bravo do it. He’s used to dealing with a bunch of crazy [BLEEP]! Laughing
What a joke that was.  From Presidential Debate to dumpster fire in under a minute!

The moderator should have a switch to activate/deactivate each candidate's microphone.  When one's time starts, the other's mic gets turned off.  How difficult is this to figure out?

I don't think they have ever agreed to that. They have used timers before, but they have never cut mics as far as I know.

Didn’t look prepared and was on the defensive (when he didn’t have to imo) from the get go

Just a shadow of what he was in 2016. He seemed more confident then, and his attitude then was refreshing compared to the same old political stooges that the Dems and Pubs trotted out.

He has no self-control, or decency for that matter.  Supporters will file that in the "He's not a politician" charm folder.
Jer-ry!
Jer-ry!
I think when it's not a person's time to talk, they should cut off his microphone. Enforce some discipline.

Better yet, do the whole thing by Zoom or something. That way, if a person is interrupting, you see his mouth moving, but no sound.
