Quote:OL is a much bigger need right now than WR.. Sucks, I liked Walter, but let's not fool ourselves..Good player caught by the injury/numbers game.
When Benn got healthy and started playing well on ST, Walters became expendable.
- which is no major indication of his ability, it's just that WR is the one position where this team has legit depth.

When did everyone stop liking Walters? I thought he was a great 3rd WR last year. Sad to see him go.

Yup..

I don't think that's actually the case at all.

Probably gets signed by New England and becomes the next Welker/Amendola/Edelman/Hogan...

Tough spot to be in. We're hurting right now at OT with the injuries and we're hurting in the secondary with injuries. WR is honestly one of the few positions on this team where we're pretty deep at. We have four capable receivers. Walters would have been lucky to make the field. I think he was even behind Benn on the depth chart. He'll go get signed up by the Patriots or Seahawks now though.

54 man roster trick. I'm sure there's a wink-wink, nod-nod agreement with Walters and Dave.

Arrelious Benn sucks, why not him?

Because Benn and Peyton Thompson are the best ST gunners this team has had in several years.
That, and he doesn't actually suck.

That Tyrone Holmes release is looking better everyday...

Sucks. I liked Walters.

Quote:Had to do this. The only backup on the offensive line if both Beachum and Linder are out is Omameh. That is one guy as a back up for 5 spots! Marcedes might have to play tackle lol.
This is why you always want to have plenty of solid depth along the O-Line. Hopefully, our next coach will keep this in mind.

Edelman, Amendola, Hogan, Walters

They spent the entire draft on defense and disregarded depth on the O-line. Now we have to watch Suggs against the Joke, and Jernigan against Shat and Reed. Meanwhile the Ravens offensive line holds two rookies of their own, which to be honest I am banking on the defensive line of the Jags coming alive BUT it would not surprise me to see their rookies dominate our line. Should be a very defensive game. Malik SHOULD feast against a rookie LG and Jeremy freaking Zuttah, but what the heck who knows.

Yeah, I'm really going to miss All-Pro (inactive) Walters.

It's not even Sunday and the Jaguars still find a way to disappoint me.

You haven't been a fan long enough if you're still in the disappointment stage.
