if jags ever do fire HC,and look for a new one i got one in mind. Let john Henderson try it,and the staff can slap him in the face before everygame getting him fired up. thats the firey coach jags need. I know he probley hasn't coached,he could turn out to be just the guy we need.

I will say that the one truth we seem to have learned is that Caldwell will do anything to keep his job. Throwing Doug under the bus as a scapegoat in order to keep his paycheck coming is certainly not beneath him.

we'd have the best BBQ on the sideline, that's for sure.
Maybe Bob Belcher can be his OC!

This is probably the best idea that Snowy came up with, tbh. Take that as you will.

I like that. I fear your right and Caldwell and Marrone sold Khan that 2017 was on them and let them do it again. Going to be a hell of a call by Khan to keep them if we have a 1-3 win season.
I'd happily make Bieniemy the HC and have someone like Phillips focus on D. Make someone like Keenan WR/OC but have Bieniemy running the O like McVay for example.
I really like the idea of Allen and Chaisson crashing in from a 3-4 but as I've only seen them as DE's I'm not sure how we they would hold up in pass coverage.
Taven Abry Smoot
Allen Schobert Jack Chaisson
The secondary would get killed but we do already. It's not a long term solution but I dont hate that on paper.

That's my thinking. So we lose by 24 instead of 17. Get Allen and Chaisson to take the tackles wide then it's one on one in 3 spots on the line. Just need to win 1 of those to get pressure.

Yah... but you'd be dropping one of your OLB's most of the time unless you're blitzing and only leaving 6 in coverage. I'd assume Allen would be your SAM OLB and rushing more often than Chaisson, who would be the WILL OLB and drop more. Schobert would be the MIKE ILB and Jack would be the JOKER or the weakside ILB. Don't think we have a real NT to make it work, but its not working now anyway, so....

Alim McNeil is a guy I hope we look at in the draft

Yah....that guy is a DUDE! A young Aaron Donald.
Watch Marrone get fired and Wash is moved to interim head coach #becausejaguars. Hopefully kidding aside I do like the idea of bringing John Dorsey on board.
Eric Bienemy will not be coming here. Why would he take this as his first HC job and risk ruining his reputation? I seriously doubt we would be high on his list of candidates. It's more likely that someone like Adam gase gets fired early, and we get talked into taking him. Or maybe Dan Quinn, which might actually not be too bad.
Same commentary applies to Wade Phillips on the defensive side. Why would he want to get mired in this mess at his age? At his point, life is too short for this.

Exactly. Everybody wants Marrone/Caldwell fired and rightfully so, but the problem is who's going to replace them? And why should we trust Khan in hiring the right guy/s to begin with?
Aint nobody worth their salt is coming here. We're likely going to have to settle for some bad retread HC, or some no name nobody has ever heard of. Maybe we get lucky and strike gold on some random no name (highly doubtful). But without a doubt, this is currently the worst franchise in the NFL and it has been one of the worst for the majority of the last 20 years. Who the hell would want to come be the HC and GM of this dumpster fire.

Lol, you get paid to run an NFL team with a young roster, a ton of draft and salary cap capital, and little pressure or interference from the owner, in a state with good weather and tax benefits. Whatever it is now those conditions are attractive.
I wish they would fire Tom Coughlin....He is totally holding this team back...
LOL
I knew TC wrecked this team after the Playoff wins......He was such a meanie.....
It looks like the guys that threw TC under the bus are failing and getting what they deserve...NO BIG SURPRIZE!

Tom Coughlin repeatedly violated the CBA, he had to be fired.

Not really...he was trying to get the Man babies in line.... Oh well spilt milk at this point....
TC was not the issue. The issue was Caldwell and Doug didn't like TC having control and started to undermind him midway in 2018 ..IMO

Your opinion is irrelevant to the facts, the grievance arbiter found that Coughlin repeatedly broke the rules and ignored the rights of Jaguars players. And this wasn't the first time, the same thing happened in New York. Face the facts that your hero lacked the integrity to abide by the rules he used to lash other people.
If the losing streak continues, and there are a few "embarrassment games" where after a quarter we're not even competitive, I could see Marrone being shown the door and Jay Gruden given a chance as the interim HC to see what he can do over the remaining games.
Khan wanting to be "patient" to avoid being a place coaches don't even want to come to, like the Browns who fire a coach seemingly every year. Has backfired as the patience has allowed a losing culture to set in. I'd try and get a coach from the college ranks that brings a fresh approach. I doubt Bienamy comes here if he has even a single other option for a HC gig.
Greg Roman was Dave Caldwell's roommate & close friend in college. He was the guy Caldwell wanted initially instead of Gus Bradley years ago (Khan was head over heels for Gus's positivity & "just get better" mentality & Caldwell was overruled). Assuming Caldwell is retained I could see Roman finally getting the chance to coach his own team, he's excellent at designing offenses to fit the talent of the players he has at his disposal. as long as they get a DC that's not Todd Wash I could see a Roman led team doing suprisingly well early on.
