Now before we go running off celebrating we should be sure the same managers that have been doing poorly are gone. We need someone who can manage these numbers better, well at least not yo-yo around like we have been. Then we can be patient and develope a good team. ...not before.

Khan was so greedy he told Dave to save the money and don't spend this year.  Khan's revenue is affected so he told the front office to get rid of all the big money players.

Trust me, you saved good money there.  I get more frustrated watching the games more than anything.  Lately I have been turning it off by the mid 4th Quarter cause I just can't stand to watch any more.  Thanks Khan and this front office for this garbage product!

DC is not "saving" Khan any money this year.  He's paying $44 million to dudes that don't even play for us anymore.  Believe me, Khan could care less about what the Jags spend on payroll.  And people who suggest that they will keep Caldwell and Morrone around next season because they still owe them a year on their contracts are CLUELESS about how the NFL works or how much money Khan has.  Khan is the 4th richest owner in the League and worth almost $8 BILLION.  If the contracts of the coaching staff and football ops for next year total $8 million dollars, that would be like a guy who is worth $1 MILLION owing a $1000.  Do the math... its peanuts to him.
I believe everything, well most everything said has a little truth to it. No matter what we did we were not going to the super bowl this year. Management knew this we knew this. Our liabilities for dead money had built up and could be spread over the coming years. Why do this? Take it all this year to get back in line. This coupled with the foreseeable loss in game day revenue makes this an easy sell to a businessman. Whether they are around after cleaning up this mess is to be seen. Stay tuned, but don't expect any changes unless our owner feels the changes would be a marked improvement.
I will say that I keep watching this train wreck. Why? I’m not quite sure. But I will say game time comes a lot faster when I’m not eagerly anticipating kickoff. This season, I’ve had much more productive Sundays.
I will put it this way. I dont get together with friends anymore on sundays its just too depressing and it bums everyone out. If i feel like a lazy sunday i will just lounge on da couch and watch the game while taking a few naps here and there. This team cann be a real snoozefest/buzzkill.

I have even stopped looking who the next opponent is as like does it even matter anymore. So its a suprise come sat or sun when i find out now.

This team just sux and has a way of realky depressing you this year. How often has this team held a lead this entire season?

If there has been any year we really deserve the number 1 pick in the draft it is this year.

Sounds like like me.  I used to go all out and cook some “football” foods.  Would give it thought all week.  Cook up some nice meals and almost know the schedule by heart without looking it up.  I haven’t cooked [BLEEP] after the 3rd week and I can honestly say I don’t even know who we “play” or should I say scrimmage, this week

  1. Hey everyone, I made the wise decision to skip today’s game.  Big Grin

You didn't miss anything.
I’m a bit late to this but with Luton starting, this could get interesting. With Glennon starting, I probably would have skipped the entire game and just watch highlights.
This team is like a Train wreck. I know what is coming but can't look away!

You and me both. It’s hard to watch. The games give me something to do (even though I have better things), and I already know the outcome of it all, but... you know... Wallbash

*lowlights
The game with the tinhorns was a good game. Another loss, but I’m fine with that. We put up a good fight, and I’m happy with that. IMO, we need one of the top picks, hopefully the first pick for Tlaw.

Luton looked pretty good today considering it was his first game, but we played against the Texans. The Texans defense right now isn’t good, so I’m not jumping to conclusion that Luton is *amazing and he is the answer for us!*. Luton could have been int. at least 2 more times and got extremely lucky.

I look forward to seeing what he can do for us in the future! It’s something different... something  Smile
Rooting for the Jets against the Pats tonight!

Though as the season progresses I will definitely go out to bars to watch less as the losing stacks up. If they make it on TV here I'll watch.

Call me a glutton for punishment. This is my team. Win lose or draw. But I can't really string together much of an argument to convince anyone to watch. If you wanna quit on your team, become a fan of another team, or just stop watching and be a fan from afar... There isn't much I can say to convince you otherwise.

All I can say is... that ain't me. I wear my Jags gear and support my team, despite who is at GM, HC, or QB...
I don't say much to defend myself when people ask why... I just say they've been my team since day 1 and the only thing that changes that is relocation probably. Being bad is reality for about half the league every year... and some franchises have been a factory of sadness much longer and more often than we have. Bengals, Lions, Browns... lots of teams... The Saints were the Aints forever until they got Brees. It only takes one season to turn into a decade of good and enjoyable games... I'll keep patiently waiting for that season to happen. We were pretty good from 96-2002, making a couple runs, which is better than some franchises can say.... We were "this" close in 07 and 17 only to crash and burn. One day.... I keep hoping... it'll stick.

Agree with you almost exclusively except when you said you 'go to bars and watch less' - on that point, i still watch and continue to be abused. I threaten to turn the game off and never actually can pull it together to do it. Been here since the beginning... all the way in Canada baby. I'm here to stay.

The Jags are my boys, my team, the only team I've ever cheered for and i 100% am no [BLEEP] band wagoner & im damn proud of that.

I hear ya... to catch the Jags on TV here in NWFL (basically Saints country post Katrina) I can only see them by going to Bdubs or some sports bar... It's essentially a $50 minimum trip... When we're terribly awful I just can't see myself spending that money just to watch the dumpster fire.
If they happen to be shown by the local CBS/FOX affiliate I'll certainly have the TV on.
I keep watching this mess !!!

It’s gonna be atrocious once we go against the packs. By the way, can I call them the green crayons from now on?
