Defenses play off when you have this kind of lead....allowing short passes which is Minshews specialty.

You take what the defense gives you but it's not like he didn't make downfield throws. He had several but only a couple completions. Receivers need to do better too.
You know even with the knowledge this wasn't a good team before the season isn't helping. I had fools gold that the offense could do stuff. And the top of it all I dont think we end up with the first overall pick. I sure as heck don't want any of these clowns around it
Man, Minshew looks so low.
FIRE MAROOON and WASH

It's not all on him.  This team just blows with lack of talent and inept coaching from top to bottom.
I know we joke about it every week, but they literally made a runningback look like Barry Sanders today. Wallbash
Can we please just finish the season 1-15.
Get the #1st pick.
Fire Marone & wash.

Maybe then will it finally be exciting to watch the Jaguars play again.

I mean his confidence and body language. I feel for him so much, I see him desperately trying and it's still not enough.

We need him smiling and positive again.

The season’s not over.. we still have a BUNCH of games to lose.
Team doesn't play hard because the QB sucks.
Lions haven't had a rookie running back go for 100 yards and 2 touchdown since Barry Sanders's rookie year of 1989.

Jaguars will cure your ills.

The "tune up" Jags.

You can't put it all on Minshew, our O-Line sucks, the defense sucks, we maybe have 4 good players, Minshew, Robinson, Chark and Cole Sr

It could be that the QB doesn't play hard because the other 21 players suck.

I think he knows that things are really dire for the Jags right now. And may not really see another win on the schedule, which is very unfortunate. Last year, the team had ups and downs, but I always felt like they could get some wins. This year outside of the first game against the Colts, I go into every game thinking they will probably lose. I wonder if Gardner (and other players) feel that way as well.

They feel that way every Monday when they walk in and see the same coaches in the building.

Week 1 this team played with heart and effort and rode their luck but they look like theyve hit a wall. They arent good enough to stop teams and struggle scoring on teams. Brutal combination.

I think he thought this was his year to shine but the roster was gutted of talent and no preseason for all the rookies. Calais had 3 sacks today, weve had 5 all year.

We need a full clean house but Khan HAS to get the GM call right this time.
Giants and Falcons won, just need Jets to beat the dolphins!

Some of the staff needs to go including Todd Walsh. And honestly probably Doug too. But Shad seems too patient to fire them right now. I don't know how many losses it's going to take for him to get rid of them. He may actually wait until the end of the season to get rid of them. And the team is going to keep getting demoralized. It's rough watching them lose every week and to teams that aren't really that good. I know some people talk about how the Jags are the team that helps other teams get right. But some of these other teams are still bad (and go on and lose in subsequent weeks). The Jags are just really bad and keeps gifting these teams wins.

This team has really gone downhill since Week one. It's something because prior to Week one, I had a good feeling about the team. I thought they had a good vibe to them. Their practices/training camp seemed exciting and after they beat the Colts, people were optimistic they could be competitive this year. But they've really sunk since then. Week 2 they were still okay in spite of the loss. But after Week 3, it's just been one brutal loss after another. I do think that the team constantly getting down multiple scores (largely due to the defense) has helped squeeze the life out of this team.

And truth be told, I hold Gruden somewhat responsible as well. I feel like he's not running the offense as well as they could run. Granted it's not his fault that the defense keeps putting the team in a hole, but I feel like he's not maximizing the offensive talent on this team. If he had I believe this team would have more wins. Granted the offense can't carry this team to a ton of wins, on a deep run, but they are good enough to get the team more wins.

I think prior to this game, had the offense run better the Jags would have been 2-3 or maybe even 3-2. But Jay has kept making the same mistakes over and over again these past few weeks and saying he's going to change things but he hasn't done much of that. So now not only is the defense still bad, the offense has regressed. It's rough to watch.
