I'm hoping for us to lose out too. We definitely need Trevor Lawrence. The good news is that we moved up in the draft slightly today. We're currently picking 3rd. If we lose out, we can't be picking any worse than 4th. The other good news is that the Jets currently have a better strength of schedule. Assuming that keeps up, it means we would draft ahead of them if we finished tied. We just need the Jets to win a game. I was really hoping that they would win today. They were actually winning in the 3rd Quarter, before ultimately losing a close game. The fact that they played competitively against the Bills gives me hope. I thought they looked completely pathetic against the Dolphins last week.

As Jaguars fans, we want the Giants and Falcons to win a game too. We're currently tied record-wise, so it would come down to strength of schedule which will bounce around and hard to predict. However, I think both teams will win a game. The Giants have some easy games on their schedule and I think the Falcons are good enough not to lose out. The Falcons almost won today. They were winning and literally lost the game with no time left on the clock.
I think its more likely that we end up with the #2 pick, the Jets are historically terrible, Justin Fields would be perfect for this team. I think he needs to sit a year since he only started a single year at Ohio State, but he seems like a good QB to mold.

Unless Matt Ryan is sidelined for most of the remaining 9 games, I would be shocked if the Falcons come close to the # 1 pick w/o trading up for it.  They easily could be 4-3, not 1-6.  Of the teams that have 5 or more losses, the Falcons look like they are the least likely to be in the race for the # 1 to # 3 pick unless there's a fire sale in Atlanta.

Last season, after a terrible start, the Falcons went on a run after their bye. It wouldn't surprise me if they do so again this season if they stand pat regarding trades.
