My greatest fandom mistake was cheering for the TC firing. Just like a spoiled fan to think he wasn't that important to our success.

Quote:Well considering coach Bradley is a running joke now in Jacksonville, and BB just wiped the floor with the best team in the AFCS with a 3rd string QB no less, it at the very least carries some merit. We have the worst coach with the possibility to be fired in modern NFL history.

Well said.  It was sickening watching the game last night.  Belichick could turn the Jaguars into a superbowl winner.  3rd string QB, and they post 27 points and a shut out.  I guarantee we lose to the Texans in that sort of fashion (might score 7 or 14 for the garbage time prevent defense points).
Belichick's demeanor on the sidelines tells all......he commands respect and discipline. He's an equal opportunity rager......whether it's his assistant coaches or players, he will get in their face if they screw up. Think about other great coaches.......the same, right?

If a Jaguar player screws up, he gets a pat on the rump from Gus. No wonder the players love Gus........it's unconditional love.
Quote:Yeah it's amazing the Patriots are down to their 3rd string QB and still looking like a Super Bowl team.

Reminds me of Coughlin when we had Jim Miller, Mark Brunell, and Matthews.
Not to mention Gronk was playing spot duty. I've grown fond of watching the patriots play over the years because of how well coached they are. I used to hate everything about them.
Players, not plays.  You fools.

Pats did what they always do to win. Cheated.

Quote:If Phil Simms ever actually says anything interesting, it would be thread worthy.

Hasn't happened yet.

He's better than Cris "ohhhh mannnnn" Collinsworth. How this guy still has a job is beyond me.
The game was on but after it was 20-0 I only watched it in spots because I was doing something else. Did watt do anything?
Quote:It was not clear to me until tonight just how bad Gus really is.
I concur

Not much.

The Pats took him away on D and made other guys make plays (some did, but obviously not enough)

The Pats essentially took away Hopkins with double coverage and stopped Miller mostly with just a front 4 and forced Brock to "make plays" which I'm sure Houston overpaid for his services.

You know, I was going to create a topic about what a huge deal good coaching obviously was based on the Pats game.  I guess Phil and half the Jags board beat me to it lol.
Maybe it's also clear on how bad the Texan coaching staff is. Shut out?

3 costly turnovers. 2 that turned into points, 1 that flipped field position. Texans beat themselves
Bill Belichick uses different approach against different team every time. Gus uses the same approach no matter who he faces.

While there's certainly no denying that there's a huge gap between Gus and Belichick, if it isn't clear by now Bill B is one of the greatest HC in the game. Keep in mind that Bill o'brien was from that coaching tree, and he was thoroughly outclassed last night too. Talk about the teacher beating down on the student.

Is this why our d-line ran mostly contain vs. the Packers?

Greatest of cheaters and would be the greatest ever if not for Tom Coughlin.
Some idiots here said HC is not that important, you just need talent on your team LOL
