It's hard to say it because Gus is personally engaging but it takes more than a good guy.  We'll miss your optimism Gus!

Anyone else starting to think what Josh McDaniel did with Tebow was Belichekish, just saying, that wouldn't be the worst hiring ever
Quote:Bill Belichick uses different approach against different team every time. Gus uses the same approach no matter who he faces.

Bubble screens, and putting our slowest linebacker on their fastest receiver.

I certainly won't miss it.

I don't care about optimism when the team is this bad. It's time to find a winner.
The game's chess not checkers! I was playing him like a fool son! I watched Bradley sell false hope to this city and fanbase for four years! And I finally got him! The team is a better place without him!

Quote:It was not clear to me until tonight just how bad Gus really is.

The players will NEVER reach their full potential with Gus as HC, that much is also clear.

It took you that long? I've known since beginning of last season.

98% of the board just started to realize Gus sucks. Most people are pretty slow in here.

It is simple really.  When you look at how we ran TC out of town and then watched him get 2 super bowls, people don't want to be quick to judge again.  Honestly though it is 95% certain this will not be the case with Gus.

It can't happen in this case. With the worst record in modern football history, Gus will never get another head coaching job.

Have you ever thought that probably getting fired helped TC a lot? same thing with Belichick. They probably learned a lot by that and by not coaching for a year or at least not getting another HC job right away. TC wasn't exactly the same coach in NY as he was here.
Look at the Titans and Rams having patience with Fisher

I have no doubt....in New York TC didn't have GM duties....I think he realized  NFL wasn't college and he couldn't do it all.

He was willing to give up GM duties but it wasn't enough.  Look I'm just saying that it is hard to use hindsight in the TC case.  It is the way of the NFL to not appreciate what you have or what is happening when you are on top.

Was he? I don't remember that. He didn't expect to be fired.

He was also acting as offensive coordinator for his last two seasons. Three hats is two too many.
