Yeah, I am not a fan of Fields but we'll see what happens.
Yeah we'll see. Was initially amped up when reading about him. After seeing him play, I wonder about his transition to the pros. He's very accurate but kind of a one read and run guy.
IF We can't get Lawerence then the best LT at 2. Cam Robinson's contract expires after this year. Let him walk!

This. Grab Mac Jones at bottom of round 1.
O-line sucks but Minshew isn't doing anything himself either with this many self sacks.
The Minshew novelty wore off..

That was gone a while ago... And yet, some people still can't see past what he is in actuality.
Great guy, not a good football player.
26-0 at the half. Time for us to start padding stats when the Ravens play prevent in garbage time, aka halftime.
Great TD pass by Minshew and excellent catch by Robinson!
Only a few games left, fellas. The bar is now set so low there's only one way to go.....
Minshew is alright. This team is just that bad. Line played horrible today. We have no position group that can't be immediately upgraded

Completely agree. I love Minshew and hes some fun but of course we can find better but like you say, we have a lot of holes on the 53, not just QB. My worry is someone like Burrow. Top talent yet the most hit QB and now has an ACL injury to fight through and try and be back for next year. Look at Foles, didnt even last 1 Q before a whiffed Caan block got him injured.

Minshew is ok but he's in a bad situation given the state the team's in. The line is bad at pass protection, they're average at run blocking. We need upgrades everywhere except maybe wide receiver and running back. As far as Minshew, he's better suited as a backup unless someone is willing to trade for him which is unlikely.

The Jags have tons of picks and cap space. As long as that money is spent wisely (like the Browns on their OLine), Lawerence will be well protected.
And also, having a QB make quick decisions will certainly help as well.

This team is a disaster. For kicks I read Oesher's weekly what we learned spin and he is peddling sports porn. Eyes see this roster is rotten. So what if the team is scrappy it is lousy. Honestly if Rivers plays like the player he was 2 years ago we are 0 fer this season. We have a smattering of players.
When you look at the game plan it is flawed from the planning. Of course the Ravens attacked our running game and we did zip to counter it at all in the first half. They came out and abused both of our lines. This team is in bad shape for 2021 no matter where we draft.

We just have to keep it going for 2 more games!
I would say we have a bigger problem with situational football, lack of talent defensively, and OL consistency issues more so than a QB issue. Yeah, he's an average NFL QB. He'd be a backup for half the league and probably a stop gap everywhere else. With a good roster and coach, he could be a top 12 kinda guy. Nothing spectacular, but good enough to win with if you aren't the Jags(or equally as bad roster wise). I could see him taking the Brad Johnson route, kind of a journeymen guy that plays well in spurts. If he finds a good situation, he could play well enough to be a competent starter.
Minshew is the guy you put in when up by 30 or so with the other team no chance of coming back.
no qb would look good behind the worst offenssive line in nfl history. no one has ever had a worse 0line then the jags this these last few seasons.

The Bungles and Iggles O lines have both been worse this season

Bengals o-line was strong enough to beat us,our defense did nothing againesgt them. no team has ever had a worse line then the jaguars to right now. a bunch of new born babys would run though our o-line espaissley since jags have 0 pride, and care about winning. doug is lieing, they are trying to lose not win.

And thats the silver lining of this whole awful season, we are in a good spot for the next regime to get us moving forward right from the start. I think next season may be another year of getting better and improving the roster but as long as we are improving then im all good. We cant fix all the problems in one draft and FA but i just want to see us getting better.
Definitely plenty to be optimistic about
