I'll just answer a couple of these:

4. Easily the 2017 playoff team. They would have beaten the Patriots and won the Super Bowl.

5. Tony Boselli. Replacing Cam Robinson with the future Hall of Famer would be an easy choice. Jimmy Smith would be runner-up.
I love Rich Eisen. He’s a stand up guy and I’ll never forget his Stuart Scott tribute he did while recapping the Bengals/Colts playoff game

I don't blame them one little bit. Watching that video, I get the impression Eisen believes Jacksonville is somehow unworthy of the pick when Lawrence could have been in New York.

What worries me most is taking a treasure like TL and putting him under the tutelage of a coach who has zero NFL experience. I'm a little worried, but Meyer has enough experience on staff to act as his bowling lane bumpers until he gets the hang of it. Especially the part where both coach and QB aren't accustomed to losing. I wonder how that will affect their psyche.

But isn't it better to have a coach and QB who are not accustomed to losing than to have a coach and QB who ARE accustomed to losing?

Meyer's a smart guy.  He'll figure it out.

I agree that #4 is 2017, #5 is Tony Boselli.

#6 is a real puzzler.  TC was a great coach, but I'm not sure I'd want him coaching Trevor Lawrence.  I guess that, since TC did win two Super Bowls with Eli Manning, I would have to say TC, although I think Urban Meyer will be good as well.

#9 would be Zach Wilson, but I don't think we will play him this year.

1. Mahomes. If you want to be the best...
2. Um. There were about 30 teams we couldn't beat last year. TL probably makes the difference on at least half of them.
3. The Jaguars. Because something went *crazy* wrong in the draft...
4. I mean, it's the 2017 team. But if he's as good as he should be, how about 1999?
5. Boselli in his prime.
6. <shrug> Why not try Meyer?
7. I'd love to see him beat Peyton Manning. I love to see anyone beat Peyton Manning.
8. He can't play with a broken leg like Byron Leftwich. He can't drive a tractor like Todd Bouman.
9. Any and all of them. Every win counts. But don't want to see him beat any of the rookies more than I want to see him beat the veterans.

1.  What is the one QB you most want to see Trevor Lawrence in an offensive shoot out with? Zach Wilson, so we know once and for all we made the right choice.

2.  What is the one team we couldn't beat last year that we can beat this year because we add TL? I guess that excludes the horseshoes. Just had to get that dig in once more. It's the tacks and we all know it. If we can have a high-octane offense that puts points on the board in bunches, that will take Henry out of the game and force Tannehill to carry them. I'd rather die that way than some 17-12 sludgefest where Henry manhandles our D and keeps our offense off the field.

3.  What is the one team you don't want TL to face this year?  Why? Dr. James Andrews or any other surgical staff.

4.  If you could add TL to any team in Jaguars history besides this one, what team would it be and why? Was it 04 or 06, when Lefty came back from injury and they benched Garrard's hot hand for him in the wild card? That one. Although, that loss may be more on Mo getting hurt and trying to block McGinest with one hand.

5.  If you could add any player in Jaguars history to this team to help TL, who would it be and why? Boselli, and anyone who says anything else is wrong. Nuff said.

6,  If you could have any coach HC or OC) in team history coach Trevor Lawrence, who would it be  and why? 404 Coach not found. If I had to, I'd say I trust JDR most not to ruin him.

7   If there were one historical QB you would like to see TL face off against, who would it be and why? Randall Cunningham. Not really for any reason other than I would love to see what an in-prime Randall Cunningham would do in modern NFL offenses.

8.  Is there anything you think TL can't do at this stage of his development better than some other QB in Jaguars history?  How long do you think it will take to develop that skill? I'll give Todd Bouman the edge when it comes to tractor repair and or operation. Give Lawrence a few years, though, he may surprise us. I might also give DG the nod when it comes to postgame apparrel. I guess until he gets a clutch playoff W, I give the nod in that area to DG. The late-game scramble against the Stillers to get a first down and seal the game was one of my fondest in-game memories, and I hope that Trevor gives us a whole library of memories that great.

9.  is there a rookie QB you'd most like to see TL beat?  Who is it and why? See 1. But honestly, the answer from all of us should be "ALL OF THEM". I think TLaw would say that beating Fields would have value considering how his collegiate career ended. OSU was just on that day, and you can't really put the L on TLaw, but I think he'd like another chance to walk away victorious.

Great questions, Bullseye. Can't wait to read through everyone's responses.

1.  What is the one QB you most want to see Trevor Lawrence in an offensive shoot out with?
Russell Wilson was the first name to pop into my mind. Excited to see that one.

2.  What is the one team we couldn't beat last year that we can beat this year because we add TL?
I will say the Titans. We are on a streak of losses against them in Nashville that needs to end.

3.  What is the one team you don't want TL to face this year?  Why?
The Rams. I wish we were facing them next year. Long trip for a rookie QB against a fierce defense. Jalen will be at maximum [BLEEP] levels leading up to this one too.

4.  If you could add TL to any team in Jaguars history besides this one, what team would it be and why?
2017. Weakest QB/ best supporting cast combo.

5.  If you could add any player in Jaguars history to this team to help TL, who would it be and why?
Tony

6,  If you could have any coach HC or OC) in team history coach Trevor Lawrence, who would it be  and why?

7   If there were one historical QB you would like to see TL face off against, who would it be and why?
I don't know if we will get to see Watson vs Lawrence, but I think those would have been really fun to watch. The two best Clemson QBs ending up in the same division is pretty interesting.

8.  Is there anything you think TL can't do at this stage of his development better than some other QB in Jaguars history?  How long do you think it will take to develop that skill?

9.  is there a rookie QB you'd most like to see TL beat?  Who is it and why?

1. Really don't care.
2. Texans
3. Steelers.  Their defense is NASTY
4. 2017.  I think it gives us a Super Bowl victory and everyone thinks "Who's Foles?"
5. Tony Boselli.  No question.
6. Vince Lombadi. Wait... team history? Uhh I guess JDR. Lukewarm on Meyer.
7. There isn't.
8. IDK
9. Zack Wilson.  Just to shut up the Wilson-heads.

It's odd this team didn't readily leap to mind when I posed this question.  I was originally thinking the 2006 team.  That defense was top notch (arguably better than the 2017 unit overall).  But 2017 makes the most sense.

Boselli would be the first of four choices for me.

1.  Boselli
2.  Searcy
3.  In his prime Jimmy Smith
4.  MJD (for pass protection)

#6 may be a little harder than it should be, because perhaps I didn't put enough emphasis on the OC part.  I'm not sure if I'd want TC coaching TL, but I think he'd be a blast to watch under 1996 Kevin Gilbride or 2017 playoff OC Nathaniel Hackett).  Those guys got on a roll during those playoff runs.  The fade to Jimmy Smith vs. Denver and the play action fake TD to the FB vs the Steelers were easily two of the best playcalls in team history.

Great questions, Bullseye. Can't wait to read through everyone's responses.

1.  Zach Wilson is the easy choice.  Oddly I would also add Justin Fields for somewhat similar reasons.  TL and Fields seemed to be rivals in high school.  They wound up 1-1 in college-both playoff games.  I think it would be fun to see their development continue throughout their NFL careers.

2.  My initial thought was Houston, but given how weak the tack pass rush and secondary were last year, your answer makes a lot more sense.

3.  Well played, though it may be too late for that.  Who operated on his labrum earlier this year?

4.  You are talking about the '05 team.  Both the '04 and '06 teams missed the playoffs thanks to horrid games by Garrard.

5.  Boselli was my first choice too.

7.  Interesting answer!  Cunningham was odd.  It didn't seem like he should be fast because he had those long legs and took those long strides, and for all those who thought BL had a windup should go watch clips of Cunningham.  Yet he had a flair for the spectacular.  Too bad his prime years were sabotaged by a head coach in Buddy Ryan who had zero use for offense-either his own or the other team's.  He had a good pair of receivers in Fred Barnett and Calvin Williams, and an outstanding TE in Keith Jackson (I wish we could have him here), but also had one of the worst O-Lines you'll ever see.

8.  Although TL is plenty mobile and athletic, I too was going to offer scrambling ability, though it was Brunell's scrambling ability that came to mind.

9.  Agreed.

1.  Wilson is one of the best deep passers I've ever seen.  His performance against us in 2017 reinforced that.  Without that performance in that game, Big Ben doesn't exploit our secondary in the playoffs.  A shoot out with him would be a great show-and is a matchup we could easily see this year considering we play the NFC West.

2.  The tacks definitely have some butt kickings due to them.

3.  Agreed completely with you, with a healthy 49ers defense a close second.

7.  That would be another great matchup...especially since we'd be likely to win it this year even if they had Watson playing.
