A lot of years of pain. Haha all us jags fans that stuck through it deserve it. I have gotten so much trash talk for being a jags fan at times. We got robbed in the AFC championship game. Smh. Anyways, let's hope for a good draft. Fingers crossed.

I think they may be getting a little too far out over their skis with these answers, but, it's the offseason, perennially the best time of the year for us Jags fans, and this is the best offseason ever, so I, for one, will just enjoy it.

1. Zach Wilson is the easy choice. Oddly I would also add Justin Fields for somewhat similar reasons. TL and Fields seemed to be rivals in high school. They wound up 1-1 in college-both playoff games. I think it would be fun to see their development continue throughout their NFL careers.
2. My initial thought was Houston, but given how weak the tack pass rush and secondary were last year, your answer makes a lot more sense.
3. Well played, though it may be too late for that. Who operated on his labrum earlier this year?
4. You are talking about the '05 team. Both the '04 and '06 teams missed the playoffs thanks to horrid games by Garrard.
5. Boselli was my first choice too.
7. Interesting answer! Cunningham was odd. It didn't seem like he should be fast because he had those long legs and took those long strides, and for all those who thought BL had a windup should go watch clips of Cunningham. Yet he had a flair for the spectacular. Too bad his prime years were sabotaged by a head coach in Buddy Ryan who had zero use for offense-either his own or the other team's. He had a good pair of receivers in Fred Barnett and Calvin Williams, and an outstanding TE in Keith Jackson (I wish we could have him here), but also had one of the worst O-Lines you'll ever see.
8. Although TL is plenty mobile and athletic, I too was going to offer scrambling ability, though it was Brunell's scrambling ability that came to mind.
9. Agreed.
I specifically took the tinhorns out of consideration because I think the loss/distraction of Watson will be a bigger factor than what TL would bring to the table. They are cratering and should be an easy win if Watson is kept off the field by team or league.
For 8, I will admit that I didn't migrate to FL until after the turn of the century, and as such missed out on a lot of Brunell's magical seasons in teal. Brunell may have been the better scrambler, but Dave's run will forever be etched in my memory.

Get. Comfortable. Grow.
Not setting the bar as high as the GMFB crew.
runner up might be Don't. Repeat. Burrow.

Stay classy, man.

Wow.
Eisen is a really good dude. You don't have to agree with what he says all the time but this take seems to cross the line.
Fans are already getting into their feelings and T-Law hasn't even been drafted yet.
Shame, Shame, Shame...
NH3...

Have you considered decaf?

It makes perfect sense why you would take the tinhorns out of consideration.
If you get a chance to see that 1996 Divisional playoff game against Denver (you might be able to catch it on Youtube) you'll see why Brunell came to mind. Damn that playoff run was amazing.

Probably.
But I'm pretty much giving up on trying to minimize expectations for TL. They are already at an insane level, and me trying to lower them would be akin to standing in front of a moving freight train.
Besides, it's so rare we get anything resembling positive feedback from the national media, I'm just going to enjoy it while it lasts.

Actually we DO play him this year if this image is to be believed.
In fact, it looks like most, if not all of the first round rookie QBs will be on the schedule.
@ the Jets (Wilson)
vs. SF (Fields or Jones)
Maybe Denver
Maybe Atlanta
Maybe @ New England

I'm glad you brought this up because Lawrence is going to get his chance against a lot of young/ascending/#1 pick QBs.
Murray in Arizona. Burrow in Cincy. Wilson with NY. Tua in Miami. SF with their rookie. Buffalo with Allen. I can't wait for this season.

Yes. This year will serve as a measuring stick for him and our front office.
Even for those teams who don't pick a QB in this draft, most of them still represent guys who have been productive players over the years or are still productive like Matt Stafford, Matt Ryan, Garoppolo, Russell Wilson, Cam Newton, Carson Wentz and Tannehill.
Unless the rookie QBs rookie or there is some sort of injury, it's looking like the worst QB on our schedule might be Tyrod Taylor (assuming a Watson suspension/holdout) or Drew Lock. Maybe Wentz if he has been damaged by his time in Philly and Reich can't fix him. Maybe Cam Newton.
More concerning, there are some very strong defenses in this schedule.
Rams. Healthy 49ers. Bills, Belichick's Patriots, Seattle, Miami, Colts twice
.Yeesh!
