Guard - Coleman > Norwell, also Linder only played RG for us prior to his move to Center. Also Eben Britton should probably be #5 for RT, he was solid and looked promising but his career was derailed by multiple shoulder injuries and the herniated disc in his back which he never really recovered from.
DT - Sen'Derrick Marks over Seth Payne, I feel like Marks is a forgotten man, he was Malik Jackson for us before Malik Jackson. 8.5 sacks > 5 sacks; and Marks was just soooo disruptive before his knee injury.
I'd seperated Josh Allen into an "EDGE" category; as for the 5th OLB to replace him i'd give the nod to Justin Durant, but Clint Session or Clint Ingram if we're looking for a Strongside linebacker.
for CB, i'd move Bouye up 1 spot over Beasley, and i'd replace Fernando "Toast" Bryant with Brian WIlliams, man was an unsung hero at RCB across from Mathis for years.

Arguing about Garrard or Bortles really says it all, the Jaguars have never had a true franchise QB. Not even Brunell.
Throughout the team's history whenever the Jaguars needed the QB to step up and take the team on his shoulders it was a crap shoot as to what you'd get from drive to drive and even play to play. Hopefully that's about to stop with Trevor.
People think Brunell was one because they remember a handful of plays in the '96 playoffs, but they ignore how he constantly [BLEEP] the bed against the titans.
If Trevor is a true franchise or elite QB he'll be the first one this team has really had.

Unsure who got hurt. I seem to recall Beasley starting most of his rookie year but I may be mistaken. I want to say Dave Thomas, but I am thinking he broke his leg the following year vs Washington.
Speaking of Thomas, he had to be the most miscast player in team history. Given his build and length and hard hitting, he would have made a really good SS, but he always wanted to play CB.

Yep. I remembered it was a broken leg on a kickoff. I just thout it was Washingty but wasn't sure bit it was Concy. It wasn't in ,11996 though.
Julius Thomas had 2 decent years with the Jaguars, but he was one of the worst free agent pick-ups ever for the team. They paid him a ton of money based on his great success with the Broncos and Manning. Another player not mentioned (with good reason) who falls into the same category is Bryce Paup. He had incredible sack numbers prior to joining the Jaguars and even won defensive player of the year after recording 17 sacks. Unfortunately, the Jaguars mis-used him by having him drop back to cover receivers. He was also paid a lot of money (2nd highest after Seau for linebackers) but was gone after 2 seasons like Thomas.

I wouldn't call him mediocre, but yes, he was far from being elite.
BTW there is not one FS I really miss. Imo Grant was the best but nothing special. Nelson had potential and he did become a pro bowler, but of course, our coaching staff had no clue on how to use the guy.

He was a product of the talented teams around him. If the talent level had stayed low, say they end up with someone other than Fred Taylor and Jimmy Smith he would probably be remembered as a guy that was exciting running around but never won games. Think about it, he had a hall of fame level running back and wide receiver and never threw more than 20 TDs in a season here.

What was he ranked on the all time TD passes list? He played with multiple hall of fame level guys, he was just a middle tier QB.
I think natron means is being overlooked he was better than LF in his short time here
