They are just to short-sighted to see the end game. The modern day liberal isn't too bright.

I think the majority of them are willing to turn a blind eye for short term gains. They have the press, social media and academia on their side. Not to mention the deep state apparatus who do their bidding with a wink and a nod. With these allies, they’ve gained the edge in this last election.
Moderate dems like this smell of victory and believe they can pump the brakes if it goes too far. They don’t realize this movement in their ranks has no compunction about painting them as intolerant and close-minded to pull them along. Fearing these labels, they follow. All the while losing more and more control.
It’s only a matter of time before James Carville will be labeled as a neo-fascist for his remarks. Wait and see.
I agree. Bill Maher, too.

Are you referring to the BLM statement?
Most people don't understand Cuban history. They think it began in 1957.
Cuba was one of the last places to abolish slavery.
Cuba was one of the last places to try to win independence from Spain.
But Cuba was never really independent, the Platt amendment put them under the US's thumb.
Castro never let the people have a fair vote and never gave them freedom of speech, but his predecessor, Batista, didn't do those things either.
As you start to understand those things, you might start to understand where BLM is coming from.

Did I say anything untrue?

If you want meaningful, go to the Tebow thread.

Yep, and didn’t even have to speed read it on Wikipedia first either. You can go to all kinds of places and learn some interesting history when you travel with a Spanish passport.

Look at you trying to be pragmatic as if you could make a reply without A. Consulting a DNC talking point or B. Referring to Wikipedia to back up point A. You exemplify my query. You pretended to be a republican, you have pretended to be conservative, you question nothing the DNC puts forth, you change persona’s daily to the point of creating different accounts. You have more personalities than Sybil and you ask me start a meaningful discussion? I guess I could but which version of mikesez am I discussing issues with?

Well to be honest they were pre-Trump and the left was defending their positions instead of labeling everyone in opposition as an “ist”

No thanks but I probably stand a better chance there than having an open discussion with you and your drive-byes

Well you can't insult people and then cry that you can't have a meaningful conversation.

So if you know all these things, do you still think our embargo is sending the right message to Cuba's people and Cuba's government?
