It would be more ridiculous if there was a parade. The team put on a very crappy performane two weeks in a row. Concern and criticism should be expressed.

The one thing I love is his toughness. He stays strong in the pocket and does not panic. He is not afraid of contact. You can't coach that!

The saints and Browns both had key guys out as well.

The simply have better guys and more of them.
It's preseason. Seriously? Relax and wait until the regular season to freak out.
I’m in danger of finishing all my alcohol for this year before Week 1

I do not think anyone is "freaking out" but I have seen this TV show too many times. It's going to be a really bumpy ride so get ready!

You're pretty much freaking out in your first post/aka making this thread.

Just like you and many other posters were doing in the game thread.. A lot of you guys stay freaking out about everything.

IF you call Criticism freaking out, ok.  I think you are just overly sensitive.  Damn Millennials!   If it doesn't mesh with your self righteous view of things it's crying or complaining.  My opinion differs from yours.  Get over it!

Congrats on continuing to make yourself look even dumber than you already have from your other multiple bad takes tonight.

Your post that's 3 above this one pretty much starts the fun... I really don't need to waste any more time adding up all of the others. They're already all over for everybody to easily see.
I'm just here to remind everyone that it's only preseason

RELAX

3 starting offensive line out. Top wr out. In the real deal, robinson will be getting that ball a lot more. I am liking what I see from the defense, but I'm not going to get too carried away positive or negative because it's only PRESEASON

I would like to see the cbs play the bombs better. They are in position. Just knock it down!

Both coordinators have said they aren't showing cards in preseason,  both of them clearly and plainly stated.

Now fans are acting like that isn't what's happening.  I'll get worried if the tinhorns week one game looks like this. Until then, I'm good with vanilla play calling.

Agreed the team is not tipping its hand and is keeping things basic.

That said, there are things that are concerning irrespective of preseason status.

The OL's blocking-run and pass- has sucked.  If you have an OL engaged with a guy and the guy ends up hitting the QB, that is a huge problem.

Even if the pass coverage is basic, if you have a DB who is in coverage-either on a man whose route takes him into his zone or in direct man coverage, and on at least two separate occasions he gives up TDs that's a major problem.  It's not as if he was not in position to make a play.  He was in position to make a play on both of the TDs he's given up.  He simply didn't do it.  Given his draft status and the uncertainty surrounding CJ Henderson, a starting spot was at stake.  It's not too much to expect a guy drafted that high to make a play on the ball when in position to do so.

Again, understanding we are keeping things vanilla, it's troubling that the WRs can't seem to consistently get separation.  Chark is out, and that's a factor.  I get that.  But I think (granted without coaching video) that is a contributing factor in TL holding the ball a little longer.

Also consider none of the other teams are tipping their habds either.

Believe me, i get the aversion to preseason overreaction.

But the OL has been a problem since 2018 and not just in preseason.
Some of you guys need to relax. The score doesn’t matter until week 1. The plays are vanilla.
Even with vanilla preseason schemes, good players and good teams flash unbridled skill during preseason games. There are no flashes from the Jaguars. We are not a good team. That doesn’t mean we have to stay bad, but this will be a long season of improvement.

What worries me most is enough wasn’t done to build up our O line after last season and we all know who suffers from that. I only hope he doesn’t end up like Joe Burrow.
Apparently TL and UM have concerns, even though it's just preseason.

I refuse to believe a line that run blocked well last year won’t be able to do so again. We’ll be able to run the ball once the season starts and the line is intact. Then Trevor can take advantage of the 8 man boxes with Chark on the outside.

While it ain’t what we wanted to see, there’s still positives. Trevor is showing the ability to drag a poorly playing offense down the field. Really, everything else is secondary.
I read that this was the Saints final tune up game. They plan to rest all their starters next week.

The Saints defense is going to be exceptional again this year. There were some things to worry about but one thing this shows is just how far this team is away from competing with the big boys (and rightfully so. They were 1-15).

If they played like that against the Bengals, Texans, Fins etc…. I would be much more worried.
I was surprised how poorly the secondary played, especially in man coverage. I am expecting better performances from Griffin, Jones, and Campbell. Hopefully just a preseason hiccup.
Look on the bright side. We will win more games than last year. I guarantee it.

Neither the Saints or Browns were doing anything special either (the Browns without their starters) and they still lined up and beat the crap out of us. You are placing an extraordinary amount of weight on the schemes to overcome our glaring deficiencies.

LOL

No I'm not.
I'm placing many years of watching preseason football and being duped by it above freaking out right now.

It never seems to fail, does it? The best part of eliminating the fourth preaseason game is one less week of incessant whining
Looked like Meyer threw up in his mouth. Again and again....

Jags are going to lose more games this year than Meyer list at OSU and UF combined. Accept it.
