I'd even argue it wasn't a major problem to begin with. I've said it before and I'll say it again. The LAST guy I'd pin the shortcomings of 2019 and 2020 on is Gardner Minshew, a rookie/2nd year QB. Sure, if Trevor comes anywhere close to his ceiling he will be a far superior QB. That by no means discredits Minshew as a serviceable starter. The dude almost salvaged our 2019 campaign had we not sat him for old man Foles for 3ish miserable games and he was set up to fail in 2020. I'd argue that most QBs in the league placed in that situation wouldn't have fared much better, and we are going to see that with Trevor this year. This team's bad, Oline is bad, defense is bad, and we lack discipline. It's the same ole Jags.

We said this a few weeks ago. It wasn't all Minshew's fault this team was 1-15 and you saw the same things yesterday. D not stopping teams from opening multiple score leads which make you move away from the run and a lot easier to play against and stupid penalties putting you in 1st/3rd and long all game. Just cant win football games putting yourself in those holes all day long.

Lets all just take a breath with Lawrence. Its a rookie QB's first game. This is how rookie QB years go. Weve been here before. Lawrence is far from the first problem you fix with us.
I'd like to clarify my recent comments aswell, I'm not "hating" on Trevor I'm just being critical. There is a lot to love from what we've seen and it shows a ton of promise. All I'm doing is pointing out things that hopefully and probably will be corrected by him provided the coaches do their job. Very exciting to see his progression. His debut was very much like Peyton Mannings debut.

For ref: In his NFL debut, Manning was 21-of-37 for 302 passing yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions. He threw his first career touchdown, a six-yard pass to Marvin Harrison, in the fourth quarter of the 24–15 loss

Fun fact: Manning was 21 of 37 in his Debut, which ironically was the score we lost by today.

First, did you just create a topic and in the first post agree with yourself?

Second, just go ahead and delete your bookmark to duvalpride.com, shred any papers that have your passwords scribbled on them, and save the humiliation of returning to post drivel like this. It's for the best.
