Hahahaha

If you ever find me wishing death upon someone because of their political beliefs, feel free to call me a bad person.

Does calling a child molester a child molester make you a child molester? Of course it doesn't. No need for you to be curious about what is being posted in this thread. It's douche bagish any way you want to look at it.

its what the left does, they project. I really don't care what those turds think, I have them on ignore and I NEVER think about them, unless others show what they post. For me, they might as well not even exist. I make no apologizes for my sentiments. Just like the left attacked Rush Limbaugh after he died and are currently celebrating that Ron Desantis's wife has cancer. Meh, if more people ignored those trolls, the better off this board would be.

So you're doing exactly what the people you hate do?

I know right... Ya well, fight fire with fire.... I wasn't really nasty about it. But to be fair, if all elites and leftist died tomorrow, I would probably do a happy dance. I think I've mentioned before, I don't want to co-exist with them anymore. I don't want to compromise with them, I don't want to understand them, I just want to defeat them.

And yet people say Liberals are snowflakes who need a safe space......

The. Worst.
Guys, never argue with a fool…
A Viet Nam veteran, Ranger, Purple Heart awarded Combat Infantryman, recipient of the Soldier's Medal for saving 3 fellows including Major General Charles Gettys from a helicopter crash that he also survived, and Brigade Commander of 2/101st called a bad person by mouthy message board troll.

No kidding. I'd likely wish death on a child molester and a human trafficker but not on people for their religious or political beliefs. Unless those beliefs factor into their obscene behavior. That's another story.
This is what happens when you make political opponents your enemy. If society would have had this visceral a reaction to the DNC in 2015, when all but one said they saw Republicans as the greatest threat to the US, maybe we would have bought ourselves some time. Ronster is a product of hypocrisy and mistrust brought about by the weaponizing of our institutions against his political party. I think he, and others like him, are losing their own values by adopting the values of democrats, but until moderates say enough, you're just going to get more of this.

That's a good observation. I have a feeling it's going to get worse before it gets better because the center left does not want to undermine the institutions which empower them, even if they don't fully agree with their methods. How many of the so called dem moderates on this board, or anywhere, criticize the outright biases and lies perpetrated by the MSM or the tendentious censorial practices of big tech?  Let me answer: none. They do drive-bys but will not engage in substantive debate about media and information policy or the slow motion train wreck in Washington now. Why? Because they don't need to when they have the microphone.

What it's going to take is another outsider like Trump, but with a reasonable temperament, to shake up the system again. He called out the MSM for what they were and now public trust for them is at an all time low. Additionally, big tech needs to be broken up by stripping their federal protections. They've demonstrated, without question, that they no longer qualify for immunity under section 230. Let them face the consequences of their actions in a flood of lawsuits and we'll have more open platforms.

Sadly, as long as Trump stands in the wings intimating at another run, moderates of all stripes will remain divided and the potential for an overwhelming win in both Houses is diluted and the vitriol continues. Unless Republicans can get the numbers in Congress to effect change on big tech, there seems little chance at leveling the field soon.
Until Trump retires from politics or dies the entire political system is in thrall of either sucking up to him or resisting him. There's no oxygen for anything else. Neither party will get the kind of landslide victory they need to enact change on their own (because voters are entrenched into pro or anti Trump, building their identity around it), and neither party will have any will to compromise because of the extent to which Trump's mere presence creates mistrust.
The compromise was gone before Trump, Mikey. He is the mirror that made America take a look at itself. He showed us the left is unwilling to give an inch, because they are accountable to no one. He showed us the right is close to breaking, because they feel like they are losing their voice. He showed us that there is an establishment class that cares more about power than anything else. He showed us that our institutions can be weaponized against us. He showed us we have a media that is unworthy of trust. He showed us that we care more about comfort than accountability and more about words than action.

True, Obama also had a role in making compromise impossible.  I still say it was within Trump's power to reverse that.  He could have been the next Roosevelt.  He just needed to have enough couth, class, and self sacrifice to get bigger majorities in Congress and get the wheels more unstuck.  In the end Trump didn't want to actually transform any aspect of government or society.  He just wanted adulation and prestige, and he couldn't tolerate losing either to Biden.

How's so? The left hated his guts the minute he stepped on that escalator and the 24 7 smear campaign started then. The left never gave him.a chance to be a president they liked.

You just upvoted Mike's worst take of all time and there are a lot of them.

The right hated Roosevelt's guts the whole time.  It didn't matter because Roosevelt got about 2/3 of ordinary American voters on his side, and lasting majorities in Congress to go with it.  Trump could have really expanded the Republican party permanently.  It was within his power.  But he chose instead to be rude and petty and selfish at every turn.
