1. I thought Urban Meyer was a good candidate to build a new culture here. This maybe the worst coach of the Jaguar franchise. This has been a train wreck into a chemical plant.
2. I thought Baalke knew what he was doing. The lack of talent on this team combined with the resources we had is inexcusable. Horrible Hire!
3. I believed Bevell would be a good teacher and mentor for a young QB. Horrendous!
4. Lastly, I believed Trevor Lawrence would be the franchise QB the team needed. I see a kid with some talent but lacks the fire and the mentality to succeed right now. Time will tell if he can be good but right now He is the worst starting QB in the NFL. Basic fundamentals like short ball accuracy are huge problems for Lawrence right now. I do not believe he is the man. The team needs to get a plan B iincase Lawrence can't turn it around.

I am with you on everything except number 4.
I don't know how you can tell anything about Trevor Lawrence when the offense as a whole is this bad.

Trevor Lawrence's success or failure as a QB here will have nothing to do with "fire."
No amount of "fire" from Trevor Lawrence would have blocked those Titan defensive linemen.
No amount of "fire" from Trevor Lawrence will make the receivers make what should be routine catches.
No amount of "fire" from Lawrence will make the receivers able to separate.
No amount of "fire" from Trevor Lawrence would result in a better designed offense or better plays called.
I was wrong about these things:
1. The Jaguars would improve as the season went on. Getting worse, instead.
2. The receivers position was a strength. The loss of Chark and inability of having an alternative deep threat has made this position a huge liability.
On the other hand, I was correct about these things:
1. The offensive line would be poor. They started out o.k., but are regressing each week.
2. D.J. Henderson wsa a headcase who would be gone by year 3.
3. Urban Meyer was the wrong choice for head coach. However, I get no points for this since I never believed he'd be a total failure!
1. I knew it day 1.
2. I knew it day 1.
3. I was wrong.
4. C'mon man.
I thought this year would be better entertainment I was wrong
JaguarsMVP just wants to be the first to say I told you so if Lawrence busts
Drum beat...
This is a Khan problem. He makes incompetent hires and poor decisions. Culture is nonsense. The NFL isnt about a winning culture it is about winning. You don't need to take flyers and try to remake the league with stupid ideas.
Expanding the coaching staff and having a chief of staff was stupid and unnecessary. You could produce these results with three coaches. Why bother having film study and QA positions when your plans are failures.
Game 1 was basically college QB Lawrence and they have eroded him from there. I want to be wrong and I want this franchise to show anything close to hope but they aren't capable because of who they are from ownership to the front office.
I didn't care about wins this year but jeez show some progress.
I owe Murlarkey and Marrone apologies not anyone else.
You almost had a good post. Almost.
Leave off #4 and you had one! So close.
I was very worried about Baalke. I think and thought he was a big mistake for several reasons. Looks like my concern was justified. I was a bit concerned with Meyer due to his lack of NFL experience but thought it made sense to see what he could do since he had a great college career. I thought he'd be a good coach after a few games to gather experience.. boy was I ever was wrong there. I doubted the hype of Lawrence as a generational talent (looks like I was right there so far) but thought he'd be a pretty good NFL QB and would be showing that by now (wrong). I thought Hyde would make a nice one two punch with Robinson. Not so far. I thought letting Conley and Cole get away would haunt the team. Got that one right. I thought it was a mistake to not make big changes on the OL. I'll take that as a W too.
Get ready for the Tony Khan era to begin.

These are the facts. How any fan of any NFL franchise, doing as admirable a job of $&%&n up as ours has this year, can grade a rookie QB anything but incomplete is appauling.
From the drops, bad routes, personnel decisions in game, penalties, lack of communication between coaches, etc, any "inside scoop" or armchair GM insight is just fluff. Where we go from here is what matters, and who will make those key decisions on what changes is what we all are tuned in for. This team need alot and any onr player isnt going to change that when its this bad top to bottom. Blaming lawrence for the failures this season is childish to me when clearly he is being hamstrung by his own teammates and coaches.

Amen. Having Trevor Lawrence learn anything on this offense is like teaching someone to swim by dropping them in the middle of a shark infested ocean during a tsunami.
We need to draft the best available player with each pick, regardless of needs.
But if we do reach for need, please go get 2 stud WRs a safety and a CB. We also need another DE to take the double team off Josh Allen.
If we're picking top 2 we need to take a DE. Outside of that I'm fine with Neal but we also really, really need a new RT (and a new RG, and at least draft LG and C replacements).

3. I did not like this hire and stated so.
4. You can't put anything on Lawrence right now. He's a rookie QB who isn't used to losing, behind a miserable O-Line and his receivers are without question, the worst in the NFL. I mean they are just totally incompetent. To say this offense lacks talent, is the understatement of the century.
5. I was EXTREMELY wrong about the WR's. I honestly thought they would be one of the strengths of the team. I couldn't have been more off course. That was definitely a HUGE blunder on my part and I accept that.

Wait, I thought you said we only needed defense since Trevor would solve everything on offense!

I think we all were wrong. I think most of us knew there would be struggles on some level, but most of us envisioned TL gradually developing, and would have been okay with a losing record as ;pmg as Trevor got experience and he and the team overall showed signs of forward progress.

I was wrong about the WRs too, though in fairness, once Chark went down, the WRs had to function without a guy who could take the top off the defense. That made a huge difference.
Of course, Shenault not developing into a competent WR really hurt. I blame the WR coach, Sanjay Lal, for that.
Shenault showed far more progress under Keenan.

1. I disagreed. I figured he would be another Steve Spurrier in the NFL.
2. Agree, horrible hire.
3. Nope.
4. He might be a "franchise quarterback" but he's nothing special. He is pretty much on-par with every other "franchise quarterback" in the league.
