It's about giving an opinion when you haven't even taken the time to look into the facts to even give a valid opinion.

His "opinions" are often nothing more than unfounded presumptions.

It makes him look very ill informed and arrogant.

That is characteristic of most people on this message board.

Face it, you think he's ignorant because he disagrees with you.  And of course, you think people who agree with you are smart and well-informed.

There's no reason to attack people personally just because they disagree with you.

I think that from the minute he got here he was playing games with his takes trying to be the smartest guy in the room. Had he simply been genuine there would most likely be less disdain for him personally. That his same behavior continues to the present is just creating more disdain.

No one should try to be the smartest guy in the room when everyone already agrees that you're the smartest guy in the room, right?
I think you simply don't have or relate to nuanced opinions. Your opinions are simple, yes or no, good or bad. If someone says they see both sides of an argument, you assume they are not being genuine, because if they were being genuine they would only see one side, like you.
Got you so upset you forgot to change to an Alt?

If I had an alt, you would have seen it long before now.
How many times is this subject going to be revisited?

I think several of you people have a hard time with differing opinions, and you get all hostile about it.

When someone literally says they like to be smug with us and follows it up with disingenuous behavior on the regular then yeah- I do have a problem with it.

You and I disagree on many things but I don't have a problem with it because you are not a cheeky bastard about it. Same with Ronster. He's definitely an intense dude I disagree with often. I don't have to like someone's opinion in order to respect them as a person as long as they are honest. Mikesez is not honest about a lot of things.

As many times as Jan 6 apparently.

I never said that.

First of all, I have met with Mike in person. I like Mike. He's a naive dreamer who wants to be taken seriously as a thinker. Since he's only slightly above average in intelligence (not a dig), he depends heavily on the intelligencia to inform his positions. The problem is his ability to CRITICALLY think about topics is subpar, so he doesn't appropriately challenge the narrative coming out of those circles. Therefore, Mike is often duped by those he's trusting to educate him. You don't seem dissimilar to me.

What's your score on the Stanford-Binet test, brother? You can PM me. I won't tell.

And this makes you look worse than Mike.

A pompous know it all who comes on the Jags message board to “educate” everyone else because he doesn’t have a job. Get over yourself.
L2L and I are almost the same age, and we grew up in the same zip code. We both married doctors. From what I recall, L2L is slightly more intelligent than me. I admit. The more dramatic difference, though, is the people we grew up around. My parents are both smarter than me and I was around future Ivy Leaguers the entire time I was in school. Even though they told me I was smart, I knew I wasn't the smartest. L2L seems to have always been the smartest in his family and the smartest in his class, but I don't think he would have been the smartest, if he were in my family or taking my classes.

I hate to break it to you, but you need to be educated. If you're not taking the time to look into various new sources, read actual scientific studies, and learn the genuine history, politics, and philosophical underpinnings of the movements of our era, you are woefully under informed. Period. And, instead of posturing, maybe you should humble yourself and look into some of these things I post here.

Look, I get it... I had time to do this, and you didn't. I actually have a job now that my kids are in school full time. I completely understand why the working class is unable to stay properly educated. I think I've been able to sit down and read one study since I started 3 months ago. It sucks. I find myself looking at headlines more and more to gauge the news, but I know that people who do that aren't getting anywhere near the data they need to make informed decisions. That's you, and, quite frankly, I don't care if you think that's pompous. It's facts.

I did not insult Mike's intelligence. I questioned his ability to think outside the narrative and gave the reason I believe that to be true, which he basically confirmed with his follow up post. He is a smart dude. I like him. I would hang out with him again in a minute. Truth be told, I don't think he's nearly as bad IRL as he is on this board, but know this: There's not a single thing I would say on this board that I wouldn't say to his face. Mike desperately wants to be accepted into the intelligencia. This affects his ability to push back against their bad ideas. It's not pompous to say that. It's pretty obvious.

And Mike, I don't care who is smarter than anyone. It's irrelevant to me. I wouldn't feel inadequate if other people are smarter than me. Admittedly, I feel kind of useless when I run into someone smarter than me, but it's not a blow to my ego or anything. The reality is that most people who are highly intelligent will end up in niche areas, anyways, so there is almost always something to learn. I tend to form lifelong friendships with really smart people and look forward to sharing information and ideas. What I don't do, is get into a pissing contest with them to show them who's smarter. My beef with you is not your intelligence; it's your unwillingness to confront your own limitations which leads to pretentiousness.

The problem with Ivy Leaguers is the status that gets associated with intelligence (which becomes even more convoluted by wealth), and that's all [BLEEP]. But, again, it speaks to why I believe you try so hard to present yourself that way.
Y'all we're supposed to be [BLEEP] and moaning about Killary and her evil minions, not who has the bigger brain.
Well, it's better than the alternative...

Dude's like 6 inches taller than me.  I'd assume everything else is bigger too.  I mean the ego certainly is.
Back on topic, here's a good read from a conservative but not pro-Trump point of view about what Durham's filing means:

Upshot: the parts that are getting the most attention are not allegations of crimes and will never have to be proven in court. Should we be paying attention to them at all?

Maybe we can all get together and take a group IQ test. Playing with blocks can be fun!

Count me in as someone who couldn't care less about IQ scores. My cousin is a legit genius but has no common sense. It's not impressive.

I prefer people who are genuine. I may not agree with 99.99% of what Ronster says but we all know where he stands on everything.
