In a real shocker, Tampa Bay Bucs Pro Bowl OG just announced his retirement at the age of 28. He was one of the best OG's in the NFL.
He got his superbowl, and hes out. He followed Brady out the door.
He'd rather die than take the chance of having his reputation ruined blocking for Gabbert.
That has some externalities too since Cappa was an attractive FA target. Now the Bucs basically have to do what it takes to keep him and it leaves the FA pool even thinner.

I want absolutely no part of Cappa. Marpet was a good OG before Tom Brady got to Tampa. Cappa was terrible before Brady got there. He only got credited for being a good OG last season. If you watch him specifically, he is awful. He gets blown off the line of scrimmage, but Brady was so good in the pocket, he anticipated the rush and got rid of the ball on time. I can almost guarantee, Cappa is gonna look absolutely horrible with any other QB.
Ali made about 14 million so far and had a base salary of 10 coming million in 2022. Think I could make do with 14 million...
