In a real shocker, Tampa Bay Bucs Pro Bowl OG just announced his retirement at the age of 28. He was one of the best OG's in the NFL.

He'd rather die than take the chance of having his reputation ruined blocking for Gabbert.
That has some externalities too since Cappa was an attractive FA target. Now the Bucs basically have to do what it takes to keep him and it leaves the FA pool even thinner.

Cappa was terrible before Brady got there. He only got credited for being a good OG last season. If you watch him specifically, he is awful. He gets blown off the line of scrimmage, but Brady was so good in the pocket, he anticipated the rush and got rid of the ball on time.
