Honestly i'd do it for either #2 and #32 or #2 and next years 1st.
I like Hutchinson but it's not like i'd be mad if we got someone like Hamilton.. I wish the Giants would freak out over hutch and give us those two top 10s they have. (#5 and #7)

I don't think they'd part with next year's one, however, as that cost would be too steep.
The Jaguars then trade pick 2 to a team desperate for a quarterback. Seattle, Atlanta and Carolina are the most likely trade partners. I'm most intrigued with the Seahawks as they are in re-building mode and might see Willis as their quarterback of the future. They will need to part with picks 9, 40 and 41 which pretty much equal the value of pick 2. The Jaguars then have 7 picks in the top 70. Their draft would then look like this:
1(9): Drake London or Jameson Williams
1(32) Tyler Linderbaum (he is still here in some mocks)
2(33) Trey McBride
2(40) Boye Mafe
2(41) Chad Muma
Trade picks 65 and 70 to take best offensive lineman in the middle of round 2: Darrian Kinnard, Daniel Faalele, Zion Johnson or Jamaree Salyer.
Can something like this happen? Detroit and Seattle (or Atlanta) must both be willing trade partners, but I could see this happening. Between the 7 new free agents and these 6 draft choices, the team would be totally re-vamped.
Good God! That may be the perfect draft. It'll never happen, but if it did, I'd be soooooooooooooooo happy. I want no part of Faalele though. He spent most of Senior Bowl week on the ground as he was dominated.
We have slightly over a month to dream about drafts like this. Let's face it, we Jaguars' fans have lived on hope for way too long. It's time for them to deliver for us!
If the deal was sweet enough, I would trade back. If you are talking about the seahawks, they have a couple wrs. One of those guys and a nice pick would be lovely

If I was the Jags, I would take the #2 and #66 picks for the #1 pick. Because I don't think there's much difference this year between the #1 and #2 picks. And for that very same reason, I don't think Detroit would offer much more than that.

Depends. If the jags have no intention of taking Aiden, and they know for a fact the Lions are taking him that wouldn't be all that bad. But if Hutch is our pick if we stay put, you can definitely get more than that. Theres been trades like this before where a team moves up literally one spot and gave up much more than a 3, nd it wasn't for the #1 pick either.

No, I disagree. Even if we intend to take Hutchinson, if we think the difference between him and the next guy is less than the value of the #66 pick, we should take that deal. And if Detroit thinks the difference between Hutchinson and the next guy is less than the value of the #66 pick, they should make that deal.
What drives the deal is the two teams' opinions of the value difference in this draft between the #1 and #2 pick. I personally think I would take the #66 pick if that was the offer, because I don't see very much difference this year between the #1 and #2 pick. #2 and #66 is worth more to me than the #1 pick by itself.

I'd love those 3 picks
Fairly easy decision for me with picks 2, 32 (and maybe 34).
I am going Kyle Hamilton at FS with the 2nd pick. Unless Detroit goes QB and Hutchinson is there at 2. I'll take Hutchinson. Either way.
Would be a crazy good addition in Mike Caldwell's defense on the backend with Hamilton. At 32 I am taking either the BAP at WR or TE. With picks 33 and 34 at my disposal I am probably bolstering my offensive line and defensive line there.
A guy like Ebiketie from Penn St. or Jordan out of San Diego St at DE. would be solid consolation prizes for giving up on Hutchinson at numero uno. I am probably taking the top RT available or G/T there as well.

If they wanna trade up to #1, I tell them it will cost them the #2 overall pick and their first round pick in 2023. I then try to trade back yet again with another team, picking up another first round pick in 2023 and I take one of the premier WR's. If I can't trade down from #2, I still take the BAP in the draft, Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner. That guy is gonna be special. He's the best lockdown corner I've seen in many years. I then look into trading Shaquill Griffin. Either way we go, I'd stick to my board and take the BAP.

You guys are looking for way too much out of this deal. The difference between #1 and #2 this year is not very much. Therefore, not very much will be offered. Likewise, since the difference between #1 and #2 is not very much this year, it won't take very much for the Jags to accept the deal.
So don't go ape when the Jags trade down for not very much in return. Because the #1 pick is not that great this year compared to past years.
If I was the Jags, if Detroit offered the #2 and the #66, I would take it. Going from #1 to #2 is just not that big a deal this year.

Yes, and no. Depends on who Detroit is interested in moving up for. Also, it may cause a trading call frenzy if it's for a QB. If Baalke is worth his salt he can always [BLEEP] his way through this scenario.
If Detroit offers #2 and #66 you can lie and say Atlanta & Seattle are on the other line and they're potentially looking to offer their first round selection in a swap with 2nd RD value added.
I won't go ape [BLEEP] either way. I just think it's possible that this can quickly escalate into a lot more value overall. It's been one hell of an off season this year with trades across the board. I cannot recall ever seeing any other year quite like this one so far.
It feels damn near like an NBA like trading off season for the NFL. Pretty interesting.

Bingo!
You can't just generalize and say the pick isn't worth much. Depends on who, what, and how much the other team is interested and what they see as a 'risk'.

Agree. They would be trading up to prevent the Jags from trading with Atlanta, Denver, Carolina, or Seattle ..... all of which are looking for QBs
LOL @ Detroit celebrating that big win vs the Packers (without Rogers in the 2nd half) in the final week of the season.

I don't see a real difference in abilities between my #1 guy (Hutchinson) and my #2 guy ("Sauce" Gardner.) With that said, we have a real need for a pass rusher opposite Josh Allen, but we really don't have a need for a CB, so any offer to drop 1 spot when I know the Lions are gonna take Hutchinson better blow me away or else I'm turning down the deal. I see a very noticeable dropoff between Hutchinson and the next best edge rusher in this draft, (Jermaine Johnson.)

I really believe the Lions would part with pick 32 or 34. It might seem like too much since many believe Hutchinson is no better than Thibodeaux or Walker. PFF is doing a podcast on Hutchinson to air in early April which should only increase the hype. Austin Gayle, who interviewed several coaches and players who faced Hutchinson was on 1010 yesterday. He made it sound like Hutchinson will be a combination of Deacon Jones, J.J. Watt and Lawrence Taylor as a pass rusher with the leadership and character of Tim Tebow. While his talent/skill-set is likely to be extremely embellished in this piece, it should give the Lions enough of a nudge to offer either pick 32 or 34.
I would not personally take the deal for picks 2 and 66. I'd just go with Hutchinson and Allen as my pass rushers which would make this team immediately much better.

I personally wouldn't even consider Thibodeaux or Walker with the #2 pick. Thibodeaux has the ability, but the more I hear him talk the less I like him. He just comes off arrogant and self absorbed and the last time we drafted a guy like (Jalen Ramsey,) it didn't turn out well. Walker was playing DE in a 3-4 scheme in college. He would be playing 3-4 OLB here, if we drafted him and that is like a whole new position. I just don't know if it would work. He would either be great or he would be terrible. It's just too much of a risk. If we're picking this early, I want a "safe" pick. We cannot afford to whiff on another first rounder.
If we slide down one spot and miss out on Hutchinson, I would almost need assurances that we could trade down again, so we could get value for the pick we have. I only see 2 truly elite "safe" picks in the draft and they are Hutchinson and Gardner. I think at worst with Hutchinson, you get a Ryan Kerrigan type player and at best you get a Jared Allen type. I don't see that kind of floor with any other edge rusher in this draft. I LOVE Gardner, but CB is not really a need for us. If I was stuck at #2, I'd be forced to select him, but I'd rather draft a position of need with the BAP on my board.
