I agree. Pointless to play any starter in any preseason game.

He’s a rookie.

He's an injured rookie who we moved up to the 1st round to get. Don't risk him being further injured and potentially missing real games.
I say you let him play for a series, just to get a feel for contact/speed of the game again. Hopefully it's a quick three-and-out, but I'd rather give him a chance to test it before we have to count on him to make a play when games matter.

Yep, definitely looking like 91% based on what I've seen as a witness to his physical exams, coupled with my extensive medical knowledge.
I have none of that but I stayed in a holiday inn express last night so I’m basically an expert. With that said I agree with 91%

I will have to disagree with you there. Some veterans push their coach to get playing time during the preseason. Years ago Tom Brady would push Bellichick to play him during the preseason. Practice is one thing but live game time is a different level animal. I would rather get Lloyd some live game time before seeing week one. That is injury pending of course.

Seemed to work ok for the Rams last year.
WELP, it looks like we'll see Lloyd for an quarter against the Falcons. Whether we agree or not, his time has finally come to grace our presence on the playing field. Personally I'm for him getting as many reps as he can withstand because the defensive nucleus needs to be established. Yes, Muma and Shaq filled in admirably but Lloyd is our starter at the position w/respect to the beginning of the jelling.
Also, Foye had to tell Lloyd to "Calm Down/Chill Out" because he (Lloyd) was super hyper when practicing against the Falcons, which is a good thing. No disrespect to Muma and Shaq but I have the feeling that the prescence of Lloyd will take our defense to another level.
Time Will Tell.

With him playing a quarter I expect him to have some Hall of Fame game Muma moments out there. Especially with guys trying to make the final roster and already having a few weeks of preseason action.
Just glad he's out there though.

This guy has all of the makings to be the face of this defense. Oluokon will make sure that everyone is in position and the 2 mlbs should rack up the tackles.

led the team in tackles with 5.
biggest victory of all is coming away unscathed and no further injuries though. mission accomplished.
Missed the game but Baldingers clip looks great for a first start rookie.

I can watch these clips ALL DAY. Yeah Boyyyyye!
Lloyd will be a difference maker to say the least. Just in his minimum presence on the playing field he has proven to be a play maker. I'm so glad that he was brought along slowly w/respect to his past injury. He will solidify our defense.

Speed is there, fluid, whiffed on one tackle, maybe just rust. Biggest q for me how will he deal with physically vs the run. Should be good right off the bat in the pass/blitz game.
Lloyd should get practice with the ones for the next couple weeks and be ready to start week 1
