Now if the staff can just coach up Walker to visualize Derrick Henry as a parked car, then we should be fine.

Walker only raced up the sportswriter's draft boards as they finally figured out how all the teams evaluated players. He was valued high from the beginning by the teams.

shouldn't you be golfing?

Well, I was going to ride my mountain bike that cost almost freakin' $400 to tune up and repair.

But maybe later.   Banana

They couldn’t with Taven Bryan, couldn’t with Chaisson and now we try a third time. If we put him in one spot (instead of moving him around from 5 technique, to 3 technique etc like we did with Taven) he might grow into the complement to Josh Allen we’ve been lacking. I’m just worried that his floor might be Vernon Gholston Esque who’s another athlete with insane measureables that flamed out spectacularly.

I’ll give the kid a shot but if he’s demonstrably worse than Hutchinson or Thibs early on that’s reason enough to oust Baalke. I think the kids best football is in front of him and he saved his best for the end of the season and CFP. There’s a lot to like I guess

Is it the same coaching staff and front office?

Hey Snowy, exactly which word were you concerned about with regards to correct spelling?

This is so funny in a childish way. We bought season tickets after an eight year hiatus because this is going to be a very fun and interesting season, regardless of who was chosen as the first pick - even if it was a punter. We may not end with a winning record, but the improvement will be undeniable.

Pretty sure you said the same thing about the combination of Trevor Lawrence and Urban Meyer.

It's not undeniable. The team could be worse. We just don't know.

And yea, 20 years of futility is going to make some fans say "gee, they suck at drafting.. AGAIN"... because Travon Walker does indeed suck.
Nobody knows who is going to hit in this draft. Time will tell.

If Walker is an edge to you in the sense of "pass rusher", then yikes. Dude is not an edge rusher by any means. In fact it was a knock on him coming out. If you wanted a true to the sense edge, NYG and DET made the right picks. Jags over here sniffing paint and eating glue if they think  Walker is the best player in this draft. Wasn't even the best player at UGA.

Nah. I think I’ll trust Pederson’s and Caldwell’s expertise. This kid is going to be special. If they envision him being something more than a pass rush specialist. Y’all feel free to have your meltdown.

As long as they stay committed to him and keep him at one position to settle in then that's great. That was my only concern really.

Ultimately he's probably a better fit for this division. You have to stop Taylor and Henry respectfully.

He has that to his game already. The size and speed ratio was too enticing to pass up on I guess. He's obviously raw as a pass rusher but he has things you can't coach or teach.

We'll see.

Walker to play OLB

Yes the offical team had him listed as that yesterday.  I thought he was playing with his hands in the grass.  I guess he's going to be a stand up rusher!

Yea not cool
So basically they want him to be Aldon Smith. Should be fun to see how this plays out this Summer.

I heard him say he can line up anywhere on the Dline. If he can become a Justin Tuck, nascar package then I can probably get excited for that.
I would say he is too big at 270+ to stand up but he ran a 4.5 and has excellent flexibility. It's crazy a guy that big can move like he does.

And it's crazy he only could get 9 sacks in three years.

Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane.
No tthe pick I wanted, but looking at the rest of the 1st round, perhaps the only other players I wanted were Sauce, Aiden, or Jordan Davis. This draft class was pathetic!

I thought wr Williams was worth a gamble but he only weighs 179lbs!!! Not wr1 weight.

Aiden maybe a better pass rusher, but he's made for a 43 scheme. And Davis struggles with his weight.

We got 1 of possible two freaks in this pitiful draft.

In 2014, Aaron Donald and Khalil Mack raced up draft boards after their combines/pro days.

Clowney was the consensus (like Hutchinson)

See how that worked out.

I think this draft is going to produce quite a few big time players to be honest with you. I think the only reason it's looked down upon by causuals is the fact that there wasn't a clear cut #1, nor any Qbs worth a damn.
