A gymnast on the men's national team is named Fuzzy Benas. And there is a synchronized diving team whose last names are Cook and Bacon. I don't know that I could say either of those with a straight face. Lol

We had a guy at the golf course where I work who played in a tournament and his name was Chip Driver.  I can’t think of a more golfy name.

Ha. Yeah it's like his parents manifested his future by naming him.

Even though Benas is evidently pronounced Beenas I still keep seeing 'peenahs'. Lol
I’ve never heard of this chick but apparently she’s a country music star. Is Nashville using auto tune now?

Now she says she was drunk and is going to check into rehab.

“I will make sure my ears say hi to her. They’re in rehab too,” Howie Rose, a longtime radio broadcaster for the Mets

Damn. I saw a Crossfit athlete drown in real time this morning even though I didn't know it at the time.

Today marked the start of the annual CF Games and the first event was a 3.5 mile run followed by an 800 meter swim across a lake. The camera was on the athletes coming out of the water and you could see a swimmer go under water and not come up and his timing chip never showed him crossing the finish line. Maybe 50-100 meters from the shoreline with safety personnel everywhere, not to mention spectators and media and this man died right in front of them. There were maybe five other athletes in the vicinity (that you could see on camera anyway) so it's not like he was lost in the crowd.

It's something you see happening but don't understand what you're seeing because it's not super obvious. No kicking and flailing or panic. He just went under and never resurfaced. But because there were others around him and this was the finish you were also watching the other competitors.

This really sucks. I have enjoyed watching him compete over the years. He was from Serbia.

RIP Lazar Dukic. I'm sorry this happened to you.
One thing I have noticed watching the Olympics is the women runners are pretty aggressive with shoving pulling and cutting each other off during races. Anyone else notice this or was it just the races I watched?
Why do Formula 1 announcers have to yell? Even in the highlights they yell in the voiceover. Annoying as hell.

RIP, Pete Rose. Now he might be inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame. They were never going to do it while he was alive.

Would love to see Tyson knock his [BLEEP] out cold.
Just got home happy they haven’t started yet been waiting for this fight all day my moneys on Tyson
Ugh one more fight I didn’t realize how many fights where before the main fight
Holy cow, the women's fight before the big bout was incredible! Those chicks duked it out hard for 10 rounds.

Edit: The judges called it wrong, in my opinion.
Never thought the girls fight would be the highlight of the night but damn!

Mike age gets us all still hate Paul
The 2nd fight was easily the best fight of the night. Barrios vs Ramos. Over 1500 combined punches thrown between the two of them in that fight.
