Quote:Sunday's forecast - High of 93, Humidity 67%, 20% chance of rain.

I know everyone keeps saying the it will be an advantage, but I just don't think that is really that hot or humid.

Also, even if we say it is, won't it affect the Jags just as much as the Packers because it is Game 1 and no one is fully in "game shape" for a full 60 min game at regular season speed, especially when both teams may have "video-game" passing offenses this year.
You know things are bad when your "biggest advantage" is the weather

It's real though. Weather does play a part in the game.
Quote:While the heat and humidity can certainly affect some players, I don't think that it's as big of an advantage that most people think.  I'll never forget Donvan McNabb blowing chunks a few years back, but for the most part it really won't affect 98% of NFL players.

The main negative effects humidity has on players are cramps and dehydration, which cause players to temporarily be removed from the game. Breathing problems usually happen in mile-high Denver, where oxygen masks are available on both sidelines. I am sure there is a slight advantage or we would not wear white jerseys and pants in September, even though it is not much.

The Jaguars are prepared for it. They know how to handle high temperatures. I read most Jaguars players stay in Jacksonville during the offseason.
Our biggest advantage will be Malik pancaking  interior o-line players all the way into Aaron's face.

He won't pancake T.J. Lang.

It's biggest effect will be on the bigger players. Their DL/OL should get worn out significantly sooner than ours. Will it be enough to actually be an advantage? That's the question.

No, he's gonna crepe him.

That's when it's nice to have a guy like Ivory waiting in the wings. On the flip side, GB has Lacy.

Will he even line up against him?

That has absolutely nothing to do with the post your quoted.

Get off the Packers jock.

Malik gonna do work

The biggest effect will be on players not being fully prepared.  If players are properly hydrated and keep doing so throughout the game, there should be little-to-no impact on their performance.  That goes for players of both teams.
Quote:Man, how do they get anything done in that kind of heat?
I honestly have no idea how you guys get stuff done with the heat and humidity you get. I feel like sleeping all day when it goes over 25c (77f) here, lol.
....and Jax Humidity wearing 92 with the sack..

If it gets below 20c here people are wearing jackets.
