Man. They sound like us up there.

No confidence. I agree though with their concerns. It's fair from their perspective.

Reich's head is next if they fail again in Jacksonville. Irsay is getting impatient.

I think we're winning this one. Something I just feel. Pederson will address the imbalance. Lawrence will settle down early. Caldwell will be more aggressive defensively.

[BLEEP] it. I'll say it. Blow out looming this Sunday in our favor. Jaguars 33. clots 13.

1st win and hopefully many, many more to come! Love this
Well with the broncos pulling it off. All we need is the bills to do what they do and we are top of the division lol. Honestly didn’t think I would be saying that at all this season

Jim is just looking for pills for the long ride home.

Next week is huge. Win and may be 2 games up on all teams.

Worst case 1 game up and 1-0 in the division. Been a long time since the Jags have had that situation.

There are people actually seeking out Jim Irsay’s autograph?

Yeah, not a good look to poke fun at people's past addictions. I haven't heard him in the news for a long while regarding that stuff, hopefully he's been able to keep it under control.

That said, we didn't do any favors yesterday to avoid giving him some whopper of a headache! Big Grin

Agree on the addictions part, but as a person, he's kind of a douche. How much of a factor the addictions are in that, who knows.

(09-14-2022, 11:32 AM)flgatorsandjags Wrote: [ -> ]Do you think the players and coaches expect to win this game Sunday against the Colts?

No. Not in the least. Everything the team does is in the spirit of preparedness. Studying film to know the tendencies of the opponent, shaping the playbook to suit the plan to attack perceived weeknesses in the opposition or to leverage your own strengths, practice, ice baths, diets, everything is done to give yourself the best chance to win, but never with the expectation that all that is a guarantee.

Are they confident that the work they put in gives them the best chance to succeed? Very possibly.
Do they understand that one play could undo all the prep they've done? Certainly.

The only thing players and coaches expect is for kickoff to be shortly after 1PM Sunday. Everything else is subject to preparation, skill, and randomized by circumstance/luck/fate call it what you will (bad calls, injuries, wind, etc.).

Watch the Engram interview from today.  He just confirmed they expected to win
I picked us to beat the commies and lose to the clots so I'm currently perfect. I'll let you know my pick for next week in a few days, lol.

I liked the efficiency of Lawrence and his distribution to different targets. Hopefully they can work on stretching the field with some more explosive plays but as long as they're getting the wins, who cares?

As expected, most people outside of Jax area are rationalizing the loss on how the clots played rather than how the Jags dominated. Let them keep thinking that.
