I’ll take that any day of the week

Need to plan for that with a heavier dose of running and a few of those nifty screens they've been working. Maybe a rollout or two to get him in rhythm a bit quicker.

Lol. So much anger.  You do realize that a post like that takes you down to the depths populated by only the worst fans in NFL fandom.  There is no need to build yourself up by tearing others down.

I hope it’s a great game, with no serious injuries.

that Washington game aside, the jags look to be scary good… Should be fun.

Now you see why we can’t have nice things around here.  I directly blame these cavemen for the curse.

+1 for Jeffrey Dahmer reference.

And welcome Philly Boys
Ooh, a Jeffery Dahmer fan… weird… but I like ya. I get it.

Hrs gotten better each game imo.  He is starting to look like what we all hoped for ( except may a few people)  The game look to be slowing down for him and Doug is like a God send for this franchise.  We finally have a great coach and he's great for Trev.  Trev last year was in the worst position then  probably any QB in history with the worst coach in history.  I think Trevor will be a great QB in short order with his new coach.  Yall seen what Doug did with Wentz and Foles
Coach Pederson will make you shake your head sometimes with some decisions and some interviews… But at the end of the day he’s a good dude and his players respond to him. I was really sad to see him go.

He's getting it. We're fawning over him a bit because it's our first real QB in quite a while but he's definitely getting there. Early in games he's had some shaky moments but especially against the Colts and Chargers he's starting to look the part.

75% of snaps this year he looks like a "franchise QB"

15% he looks like a young QB still learning the finer points of the game at the next level

10% he looks like he's something much better than just a "franchise QB" - maybe something special

BIG ole valid point right here..

Dude is learning how to correct mistakes on the fly instead of falling into that QB rut for the rest of the game.. That's huge!!

Yes

Well it's a good thing the jags are on the road because of this hurricane. Everyone stay safe.

We are coming off of a decade of QBs that include Blaine Gabbert, Chad Henne, Blake Bortles, and Gardner Minshew, which is essentially like dating Whoopie, Rosie O'Donnell, and then trans Dr. Rachel Levine only to wake up and realize that you are now married to a 22 year old version of Christie Brinkley.   Trevor looks pretty damn good right now !!!

I seen something the other day that summed Lawrence up perfectly through these first couple games.

They compared Lawrence to a shooter. His 1st couple of shots are a little off target, he then adjusts his sights and is pin point from then on.

Hey wait.  I'm sure Eagles fans know all about shooters.  After all their NBA team selected Markel Fultz and Ben Simmons with the #1 picks in the NBA Draft.  Talk about shooting skills .....

I'd compare Minshew to Joy Taylor (of the Colin Cowherd show).  They're both ok in little doses but anything over 15 minutes is too much.

i personally liked Minshew... he had that element of excitement that he could make something out of nothing all the time to me. i enjoyed that time period.... hated the overall team result but Minshew was fun to watch.

Too late but minshew would have been great in this offense the jags have now.  Should have been the back up for the jags for insurance. Oh well

No game is easy, and this will be a lot closer game than anyone thinks. I fell the team with the ball last will win this one.

Again, looking forward to a great game, and I'll be all we hear to chime in on posts off and on.

Thanks for allowing me to the board!

The war is joined! Sunday fun day baby in 3 days or so!
I wonder how nice and congenial he’ll be if the Jags beat that [BLEEP]… will he come back and say “yep, the Jags are the better team and Jacksonville is definitely the better city”?

Hmmm, me thinks he’s being soooo nice is because he has zero worries that the Jags will actually win.

We’ll see

In my experience (home field only) the worst fans that I saw were Bengals fans.  They were for the most part rude, obnoxious and just all-around looking for a fight/confrontation.  Of course, it was a later game so alcohol consumption very much added to it.

wait, the Bungles have fans?

I think you described a Steeler fan who happened to be wearing black and orange.

The best way I can characterize his play is smart. He's not making bad decisions where he throws (maybe excepting that pass that Derwin should have picked). When he does throw in a tight window, he's placing the ball well, where either our guy has a play on the ball or nobody does.

He's not airing it out, but I think that's because we haven't needed him to. He's shown that he can chuck it deep and put the ball right where it needs to be, and that bolsters confidence in fans and players alike.

He's not intimidated by the opposition. He's calm, prepared, and grounded. You can tell that he and Doug are working in harmony, and the offense is clicking.

Where it seems to me that Philly thrives on the big chunk plays and vertical game to do their damage, we seem to be methodical, sustained drives that take what they're given. I think that's why this Sunday is so intriguing - which system proves superior? Do either team shift their plans and show that they can win in multiple ways? That will go a long way to shaping expectations for both teams as the season continues on.

Yeah, I think he still gets that adrenaline surge when the game starts. Gradually it mellows and he settles into the game very well.
