Lol, you always get your corners mixed up.  Campbell had another great game yesterday. I remembered the one contested catch the Campbell gave up that was great coverage for about 10 yards or so.    Watch the first play and the play at 1:15, both were on Griffin.  That's about 40 of Collins 65 yards.

Simply put, Campbell once again lost a ball in the air, Collins made a fantastic catch over him, and it was bad.

He's essentially putting a book out there on how to beat him. Until he can defend passes while in man, he's gonna keep gettin beat by em.

-3 Josh Allen - where was he all day?
-2 J Taylor - some backbreaking penalties, looks like he's regressing to his norm
-1 TLaw - for that hail mary especially, but when he shifts from mid-game to "the heat is on", he starts getting way too sloppy.

NC: positives from the game.
Can Campbell please practice on how to play the ball in the air? Going back to Washington game, he gives up atleast 1 or 2 a game.

Campbell is allowing the lowest completion percentage on his targets than any defender on our team right now.

And he's shown improvement in the area you are mentioning. And he only gave up 29 yards receiving vs Philly.

Nico Collins killed Campbell

Didn't know Campbell was wearing #26 and grew out dreads.

Nico beat Campbell twice on the drive they scored a TD on. Gave up 2 catches for 29 yards.

Nico beat Griffin twice as well, once on their 2nd possession which resulted in a punt after 4 plays and again on their 3rd possession which also resulted in a punt after 4 plays. He gave up 2 catches for 36 yards on those two possessions.

Nico finished the day with 4 catches for 65 yards and his catches on Campbell had far more impact on the game than the ones Griffin gave up.

I think some here just want to scapegoat Griffin and give our own pick the benefit of the doubt. CBs get beat, I get it, it happens. Just Campbell gets beat the same way every. single. time.
This TEAM will learn a lot from this game. That’s what happens when you bring in a bunch of really mentally tough guys into the locker room. I really enjoy rooting for this group of exceptional young men.

When Campbell gets beat, it's becuase he dosen't turn his head but he's always right there. I'd say that's correctable. Shaq Griffin gets beat, he's 5-10 yards behind the WR. He's slow.

I'll take 2 catches given up for 29 yards any day in a game.   He also covered Cooks a lot of the day that couldn't do anything and he has torched us over the years. Griffin also gave up that crucial 3rd and 10 to the TE on that TD drive

Not to mention you have a 2nd year player that has been our best corner vs a vet that is making 13.5 mil
We have some good cornerbacks.
3. Cook
2. ETN
1. Beathard

you say it's correctable. It was the ding on him coming out of UGA. It burned him last year. It's burning him this year.

Maybe leopards don't change their spots so easily?

I'll grant that he's a good player and we are presently better with him out there than not. But, he's leaving plenty of tape out there on how to beat him. If it's man coverage, huck it and your WR will get the jump on him.

Well you tell me, whats easier to fix. Teaching a guy to turnaround or teaching the other guy to be faster?

Cause yes, it's frustraiting that he sometimes dosen't make a play on the ball but hes rarely every getting burned. He's very good at keeping pace with whoever he covers. Darius Williams also has been playing much better than Shaq, I think i'd like to see him outside more often.

This was something I started to wonder about in another thread, about the same player/issue.

Campbell generally is doing well. He still shows the problem of turning/tracking the ball in flight. So the conundrum - if he fixes that problem, and starts paying attention to the ball more, but occasionally gets toasted, which is the better option? Kind of like a QB with a hitch in their motion - if fixing the hitch kills their power or accuracy, is the fix worth the trade-off?

I don't have an answer, I just thought it an interesting notion.
3.  Oluokun - He made plays all over the place including a sack.

2..ETN - He had 71 rushing yards on only 10 carries for 7.1 ypc.  He also had 43 receiving yards for 114 total yards.

3.  Marvin Jones - 104 receiving yards.

NC - Trevor for that interception.
