clots not Colts.
tacks not Titans.
tinhorns not Texans.

Get it right. Get a grip. Get it together. Still plenty of football left to win six to seven games. Which is what they're capable of and is what most level headed fans considered reasonable.

They are not winning 6-7 games with this version of defense.

They had a solid D last week, terrible this week.  Offense below average last week, above average this week.  at some point, I supposed they will both play well at the same time and win, but I don't see that happening 4 more times this year.

I agree. The way they've played the last two games they'll be lucky to get to 5 wins.

We have the Giants, Raiders, Ravens, Titans x2, Cowboys, Chiefs,  Texans again. All losses most likely. Broncos will probably pick apart this defense. I don’t even want to imagine the Lions offense right now. And the Jets have had our number recently. Where do you see 5 wins?

I fairness I thought the chargers were a sure loss soo who knows. One thing this team manages to do no matter who is in charge is we will always play down to our opponents and occasionally play up to one’s that we have no business beating. So who knows. We lost today and I am pissed but it was a winnable game and our D is capable of playing well if they can find their form again. But no doubt They looked like [BLEEP] today. I still have some faith they figure some things out but yes this going to be a building year.

They'll stun the Giants.
They'll beat Denver in London.
They'll beat the tinhorns in Houston.
They'll split the series with tennessee.
They'll sneak one out against the Lions.

I'll remain optimistic. You all can keep being little Debbies. I don't care.

Progress is pain. Good things will come.

Jags won't win another game on thier own. they will still end up with four wins, but the next 2 wins will be games gifted to us by the opposseing teams just like the dolphins game  jags won,a dumb desscion by dolphins head coach won us that game.

2 opposseing head coaches will make a dumb desscion to gift wins to jags.   I said before season started this was a 4 win team if lucky.

What if we are close in the rest of our games and some even only lose by 1 point but don't win anymore, is that still progress?

It's just a question.  Nobody knows how many we will win.  Would that be progress?

Any given Sunday. I was asked which games remaining were winnable and I listed them.

If we end up with the worst record/top pick there is a serious case for us being the worst team/franchise of all time. Which is crazy as this team has 2 wins and there have been teams that went winless.

I said it last week and i'll say it again. I'm beyond sick and tired of hearing "They're a YOUNG team, they need to learn how to win, they need to get experience on how to finish games" ... It's the NFL, we've been a young inconsistent team for 15 years now just about after the 2007 roster slowly dissipated. It's not an excuse anymore, the Colts were missing several of their best players and we just got punched in the mouth. This fanbase deserves far better.
Unfortunately it's been 22 years now. Then in those years, every 10 or years they finally put enough together to make the playoffs.

If you go all the way back to '99, you will notice the 8-10 pattern.

Broncos game is a get right game for the Broncos. No way we win that one. They're waiting to exploit our defense and licking their chops. Honestly, we should be underdogs every game from here out.
Ring! Ring!    hello?     this is nfl history books calling congralations on being the first team to ever get #1 pick 3 years in a row.
The Hasty TD run made the Geico Play of the Day. Other than that, we suck.

I appreciate Eric's optimism but right now I see us in the same old snake bitten Jaguars pit as always. Lots of promise to start the season and then we just watch the slow-motion train wreck that is always our season. As Yogi said, it's deja vu all over again.

However, given that we have better coaches and players we know can make plays, I'll keep a larger reserve of hope than usual, but my expectations remain low.
