I actually wouldn't be that shocked.
No huddle short passes with Saquan busting a few runs is what I expect out of them. Can we keep up scoring against their D is what I want to see.
Jags 33 Giants 30 in OT
After all these years of garbage football, this year is good for me so far. Went to the Charger game it was lit. Bad losses after that disappointing but honestly we had an 8 point lead or more WITH the ball in 3 of those losses. Team is young. I'll be out for the Vegas game. Sec 210. Go Jags!!!
I’m just waiting for it all to come together and the team starts turning these close games into Ws. I don’t think it’s too far off.

I feel the same way, with the caveat of injuries being the main thing that could postpone that transition.
I know many will call me crazy (and other insults) but I have enjoyed the transition we've already seen.
Lots of new developments compared to the past few years:
- We move the football very effectively in almost game (red zone being the hangup in a few contests)
- We stop the run well consistently with few exceptions
- Aside from one game of too many flags and a few individual boneheaded penalties - we are a much more disciplined team
- piggybacking on that ^ the offensive execution is happening at a higher degree of difficulty and also doing it w/o all the offsides and illegal formation/ shift penalties we were accruing - pre snap motion on lots of plays has been effective against more than half of our opponents thus far
- Way fewer dropped passes
- Way less second-guessing of the play calling - yes we have some gripes - but it is nothing compared to what we've endured in recent years
- we have a higher percentage of young talented players who are bought in to Pederson's system
- There is very little drama around the organization as a whole, locker room or individual players or staff
I'm calling this marked improvement and I think the wins start coming as all of this rolls forward. Can't wait to see one more offseason of talent additions mixed in to get this over the top.
I'm frustrated by the losses, but not so much that I don't recognize what has improved.
The defense is one player from being a good defense.
They don't have one player that is clearly the best defender on the field every Sunday. They need one. Either a Dog on the defensive line, or a corner that can shut down half the #1 wideouts in the league.
They need a real leader on the defense that can make a play when they need a play. They don't have that.
But... I still think this team is a decent middle of the road team in the NFL. I bet the Giants aren't thinking this will be an easy win.

I know some people are upset about being 2-4 because they could be at least 4-2 right now, but if you can't see the progress this team has made then you definitely aren't watching. Better days are ahead guys.

That means nothing if you don't win lol. The Chargers back in the day had the number 1 D and number 1 offense and lost early in the playoffs. Stats mean nothing if you find ways to lose more often than not. The Pats are on their way to being great again I guess lol

This has the makings of a team that could go on a run at some point this season barring significant injury.

Teams with only 6 wins in 3 years tend to go through a very specific process before they suddenly become playoff teams.
It's called
improvement, and you keep foolishly saying it "means nothing" when it is literally the only way for a team to start winning.
it means EVERYTHING !! You should be excited you are witnessing the process moving in the right direction. Finally.

This is wins and losses based league. This franchise's fans are the only(not all) but a few, are the only ones that are happy with closes losses lol. Look at the Giants, Jets etc. A loss is a loss, you have to start winning games before this thing can get turned around.

Bro you're too caught up in just wins/losses right now. This team was the worst team in the league for the past 2 straight seasons. You wont even have a chance to win games if you can't at least field a half competent team. Doug and co. has got this team to not only be competent, but to be very competitive in 1 off season.
I get it, we all want wins, you play to win the game blah blah, but there's a bigger picture here for this season. It isn't simply about the win/loss column this year. This season is all about trying to right a ship that has been off track for over a decade. That was never going to happen over night, but it's absolutely starting to point in the right direction. The wins will come.

This is just dumb.
No one is happy with losses. There is not some special thing with this fanbase that many folks "are happy with losses." That whole narrative is complete and total horse [BLEEP]. Game attendance proves it. We sell out when we win - we have half capacity when we lose for any extended period.
Most people are simply able to see the difference between a team unable to compete at all and a team on the cusp of becoming a winner. We were one of those things last year, and we are the other this year.
If you want to be a miserable sack of [BLEEP] until we have an 11-6 record, by all means, have at it.
Just stop making a fool of yourself about it here, please.
We all understand you are not capable of appreciating an improving team.

I'm not buying this, if Doug feels this way we hired the wrong coach. With that said I dont believe he feels this way. It's doesn't take years to change a franchise around anymore. We have one of the best QB prospects to come out in the last decade, a SB winning coach, set a free agency spending record, 2 1st round pics this year, and already had some core players like Josh Allen, JRob, Etienne, Campbell, Cisco, , Cooke, Cam etc. We are a better team than our record. The Giants and Jets have been about as bad as we have been the past 5 years. It's doesn't take years to turn things around anymore. I believe in Doug but he went 4-11 his last year in Philly like Searcy was saying. We have to start winning games, that's how you get better

If it's about wins this year then Doug gets fired at the end of the year because this is not even a .500 team. If they get to .500 Doug did a heck of a job, but you'd probably fire him and hire some college retread like the last guy.

Of course Doug wants to win, the players want to win, I want to win, we all want to win, but sometimes you have to look at the reality of a situation. Doug has also said multiple times that it's going to take some time and to have some patience.
The Jags are at least competitive this year, which is an improvement over the past decade. It's still hard to watch because you just know the Jags are going to come up with some way to lose.
