Which means 58 pass attempts? Lol
clots were top 5 run defense, and we gashed em.
Not sure I put much stock in those rankings anymore.

we are in agreement on this.

It's kinda weird, but I think the Jags could be the best running team in the league if they'd commit to it. Call some power stuff in the red zone and maybe reduce the passes by a dozen in favor of runs and they would have a few more wins as well. Doesn't Manhertz or one of the other guys have the feet to lead block on a few? Heck, maybe that should've been Chaisson's role.

They could be if Pederson would keep the running game playbook open past the middle of the 2nd quarter. Like clockwork, he abandons the run and forces the pass game about 10 minutes before halftime.
Wink is going to bring the blitx a lot this week against the Jags.

Have they faced a defense that blitzes as often as Wink? Hopefully they got a good amount of ETN screen packages set up.

Edit: ask and you shall receiver

You might be on to something here. Griffin had a career worst day and now he’s not practicing because he hurt his back. That L must have been to heavy for him.

Maybe this is a nice way of benching him for Herndon.

Good. He's a liability at the moment. Should put Williams in that spot and slide Herndon into a flex/slot role with Williams depending on the match up.

Hey I like this idea. Griffin is literally not giving me anything in production.

2022

23 solos
4 PD
0 int

2021 (14 games)
7 PD
0 int

Griffin has 6 career ints.
Herndon has 3 career ints.
Griffin’s last interception came in week 14 of 2020. Herndon can give you the same production.
If Foley is back I'm confident in a victory this rd

So the defensive line will mainly need to play contain?
I like Griffin. Hopefully he starts making some plays. Over all, the jags are just losing every game close. It would be nice to get a lead and just cruise vs the giants. We shall see.

Good stuff.

Best way to back off a blitz happy defense is to run the ball well +  screens and quick hit passes.

If TL can ID pressure/blitzing defenders pre snap and alter runs to either side effectively , they may start backing off after 25/1 gash them a few times.

Is there no chance he played through the soreness on Sunday? Might that have affected his play?

Mein gott the scapegoating around here is practically unbearable.

Cripes, I almost want Juwann Taylor to jump offsides on the first play Sunday just so we have a new dose of whining in each thread.

Sweet mercy I can't imagine what this place would do if Herndon then gives up a long TD. The sidewalk in front of the modis would be disgusting.
Griffin is just the figurehead for how bad the defense played Sunday. They all got burned.

as an aside, this is a big reason for the presnap motion, folks.

I’m not so sure Woods pushed off on the TD either that most are crying about.  It looked like his hand was on Lloyd to feel where he was and Lloyd went down on his own.  Hard to tell from the replay but I didn’t necessarily see a push off on rewatching it either which is probably really why it wasn’t called.
