Confusion amongst the ranks
I think this will be a Chargers Colts esk game. I think we win by a lot. Which we should.
Jags cannot score TD in the red zone. Denver doesn't allow TD's in the red zone. The only good thing, is the Jags don't have a No. 1 WR that Surtain can completely take out of the game

Sweet, they can just give Surtain the day off to go site seeing then.
Anyone else making the trip out to watch our boys?

If Wilson is out, we should be able to harass Rypien, or make him look like an All-Pro. Welcome to the 2022 Jags Defense.

One question I'll need answered is just how much I'll save if I switch my car insurance.

Who was the last 2-5 team we played?

That’s a 0.28 win percentage; we lost to the Texans who had a zero win percentage

um, wut?

Solution: Etienne gets multiple 30+ yd TD runs, Kirk hits one from 50.

PROBLEM SOLVEDED

It's pretty clear we're just a few pieces away from being a very good team.

Not going into next year's off season. The only way this team plays better next year is if they land quality starters in the early rounds of the draft and backfill with quality depth with those late RD picks Baalke is enamored with having at his disposal.

The amount of players we have hitting the market next year is scary. Looking at the entire TE room potentially gone at the moment. Marvin Jones gone at WR. Jawaan Taylor leaves a hole at RT. They have to make some decisions with Josh Allen, Shaquille Griffin and Rayshawn Jenkins. They traded for Van Lanen at Guard and he's also a free agent I believe.

Add in the health concerns with Bartch, Scherff & Fatukasi and it's very possible we're looking at the same exact team stepping on it's own dick in closely contested games that they end up losing next year.

We need a tall receiver on the outside that can box in and go up and get it for Lawrence though. I think that has to be the top priority next year in the draft. Really curious what they do with this TE group. I think Engram, Arnold and Manhertz are very deserving of extensions WHILE still adding a high pick to the group in next year's draft as well.
It appears it’s going to be a long rebuild. Perhaps even longer with Baalke leading the charge.
Most difficult game so far. Must be alert at all times during the game and no easy mistakes.

They're not unlucky. There's analytics for everything now. You can be really good at alot of things and simply suck huge donkey balls at the most important things. Whether that's life, finance, work, school, football, etc.

What's that classic excuse kids had in school, "I am really a bad student, but, a really good test taker" or "I am a really good student, but, just do really, really badly with tests".

It's the same thing here. Offensively? They do a lot of good things. High percentage underneath stuff, sneaky good running attack, they get a lot of things right, but, when it comes to driving it all the way home? Guess what? They [BLEEP] suck. These guys are taking the hot girl out on nice dates, living it up nicely but they never get out of the car and walk her to the door and seal the deal to put the cherry on the top.

That's this offense in a nutshell. All year. They get you there, they just can't finish. Same goes for the defense. Despite all the poor performances, the bad outings against the pass, the bad outings against the run. These [BLEEP] somehow manage to stay in the game, BUT. Jussssssst when you think they're fixing to get off the field on 3rd down late in the 3rd and 4th quarters? They dick it up.

Give me the analytics that shows me where it's not them being unlucky and more along the lines of them just being flat out sucky in THE MOST CRITICAL PARTS OF THE GAME. I know Madden sucks. But, maybe these [BLEEP] just need to play Madden on All-Madden mode and just play with the "key moments" option and learn how to simulate high pressure situations from home when they're not on the football field.

Based on this, we look to be about 8th or 9th as an offense, and maybe 20th as a defense.

How in Hades is this team only 2 - 5? 2 blowout wins, plus 5 one score losses will do that I guess.

When he says unlucky I think of these things:

- the drop by Etienne of a game winning score
- numerous bad first down spots
- losing Futakasi the game(s) we need to move the passer out of the pocket most (colts/Texans have statue QBs).
- dumb roughing the passer penalties that the rest of team is not responsible for yet suffers the price for

To me it is basically a case of the ball bouncing our way or not and why we’ve lost these games as one reason AMONG OTHERS that we’re in players control.

We are the reverse mirror image of the giants. They have WON every game by one score and we have lost every game by one score. The giants are living on that law of average teeter totter and so are we but on opposite sides. It’s a dangerous place to be to. One bad bounce and a team like the Giants lose that game. Watch what happens later this year or next year when they start losing one score games. Commentators will be asking “what’s wrong with the Giants?”; when really they are the same team that just lived life on the edge.  Eventually we will have the hall bounce our way hopefully. Hopefully

Because we beat ourselves majority of the time. Starting from the head coach all the way down. If we ran the ball more we would've won more games than two.
That is what is keeping me optimistic going forward. We *could* have won every game this season. I know at the end of the day that doesn't mean [BLEEP] in the big scheme but we haven't been competitive outside of a handful of games each season the last few years. Now we are in every game until the end and are being favored in some of the games going in (albeit losing them).

You have to start somewhere. The way we are losing hurts but it's better than losing to the Patriots 50-10 or knowing midway through the 1Q that your team isn't going to compete. We are most definitely heading in the right direction. However, for this year, it is important to string a few wins together soon. I didnt think we would come out for the HOU/IND/NYG stretch 0-3 but here we are. Time to go beat the sorry Broncos and then come back home and beat the Raiders. All you can do.
