After week 1 2 years ago it was "CJ Henderson is amazing and Minshew is the answer". Then it played out and both are no longe on the Jags.
I think when it's all said and done, Walker will turn out to be the right pick. He has power and speed that if he puts it all together, he can be like Khalil Mack.
Sauce is definitely incredible but if I had to choose, I would take a pro bowl pass rusher over a pro bowl corner.
You're making a big assumption here.

Lol yep
What a [BLEEP] [BLEEP] attitude. If you can’t see improvement with the whole team this year…
Oh never mind.

We should be thankful Trevor is our QB going forward for many reasons.. But today especially.. Trey Lance doesnt play. Zach Wilson is a walking disaster. Mac Jones doesnt have it. Fields is a fantastic athlete and has flashed potential recently. But Trevor is the guy we needed to land and we did. It was a pivotal moment in our franchise.

Jets and Giants are frauds. Both have QBs that can’t elevate the players around them.
Wilson is the clear weak link on that team. Jones is very meh. Both would be wise to move on from both QBs this off season.
But I thought Wilson had a better arm and flashed more than Trevor?!?

so you'd prefer that we *weren't* competitive? When we look like a baboon's backside out there I want heads to roll. We lose by 10 to one of the best teams in the league, and lose by less than that to probably the best team this season while committing 5 TO? I'm at least encouraged to understand that if we iron out a few wrinkles, those could end up wins as we mature.
thanks for the chuckle.
No you misunderstood. I said when you lose big is easier to deal with cause you know your team sticks you didn't have a chance. Than losing close ones cause they hurt more cause you know we're better than 3-7. We should be at the min right now 6-4. But hey we didn't finish out those games.
I still have faith we go on a roll after the bye.
before the season started I fully expected us to lose some dumb losses early, this is still a young team with a lot of churn and a new coaching staff. While a lot of us likely mixed up who we beat and who we lose to in the first 10, I don't think it was realistic to think we were playoff contenders before week 1 kicked off. A playoff contender would be 6-4 right now.
I still say it's tougher to deal with 41-0 losses because there's nothing to hope for or look forward to. Cripes, we have a decade of experience dealing with them, we should understand more than most franchises out there just how frustrating that can be.

There were posters spouting the same thing just a few weeks ago during all the troll banning drama. I believe it was all coming from the trolls, but still. Idk how someone can even try to make that argument.

Lawrence. 10 games, 3-7
Fields. 11 games, 3-8
Jones. 7 games (injury), 4-3
Wilson. 7 games (injury), 5-2

The Jets with Wilson are clearly the turnaround story of that draft. Is he laughing with Simms for getting it right? Or laughing because he’s a moron and pretending that Simms was somehow wrong despite the Jets’ performance?
Oh, and as a bonus, Lawrence’s performance is against the easiest schedule by far in the league. And still just three wins.

The jets have been winning in spite of Wilson, not because of him. Simms so far is wrong.
Career winning percentage can be a useful stat but also can be deceiving.
Also the jags do not have the easiest by far schedule in the league. Google is a powerful tool that can prevent you from looking like a moron; let me help you:

Wins. Are. Not. A. QB. Stat.
But hey, if you like Wilson so much: Go be a Jets fan. We really won't mind. I'm sure you'll enjoy his more INT's than TD's and his 55% completion percentage.

The Jets were significantly better with Flacco
You're saying if the Jets won yesterday that Wilson should have been credited with a win for that god awful performance?

Add in the rushing stats though, too. Fields has been running his [BLEEP] off for the Bears.
Wilson has probably been the least impressive of this group in year two. He has the same exact staff in place from last year.
Everybody else is pretty much in a new offensive system or completely new staff in year two already.
By far though. From a pure passing, pocket presence? Lawrence >>>>> Everybody else.

Fields is looking good. More poised, like he's getting the offense and is comfortable, and the game is slowing. Wilson may be on the chopping block by next year. Jets are going to be impatient now that they have a solid D and the GMen have had a resurgence. Gotta keep up with the Joneses; in this case, literally.
