Oh, geez! Now you've done it.  You are just making things up now, aren't you?  At least do some research so you know that 66 isn't EVEN "most points alloewed in a game ever."  C'mon man!!

Too lazy to look it up, but isn't something like 73 - 0 back in the Stone Age of football?

THat was a championship game, so technically not counted as regular season record. The regular season record is 72-41.

Coincidentally, the Redacteds were involved in both games, losing the playoff game and winning the regular season game.

Honestly I'm surprised that 72 or 73 was the max. I guess coaches really do shut it down once the score starts getting out of hand.

Well, you got me curious, so I got off my virtual behind and looked it up. That game was in 1966! Before the passing era, which makes it even more of an incredible outlier. I tried to find the box score for the game, but couldn't. Would love to see the stat lines for that one.

Found some of the box score. Considering the score, the stats are not what I would have expected.

The 73-0 game occurred all the way back in 1940 if I remember correctly - unlike Snowy, I looked it up the other day...  The nerve on that kid!   Chicago walloped the then Redskins in that one.
